A time to write

Hello, Wealthy Affiliate! I’d like to know a bit about your experiences writing content. Have you ever tried to sit down in front of your PC to write a post and have not wrote anything that satisfies you? And have you sat down to write and have been impressed with all the ideas, length and quality of your own writings? There might be certain aspects about writing that we do not control. But writing every day will definitely make writing easier. And it’s our responsibility to acquire that good habit! The results may differ from day to day. But we must keep on writing every day. It might be a good practice.

I’d like to ask all of you, is there a certain time in the day when you feel you are a really productive writer? Do you believe that the hour of the day affects the quality of your posts? Do you have a special time to write? When do you prefer to write?

a.) In the morning.

b.) In the afternoon.

c.) At evening.

d.) The time of the day really doesn’t matter.

Obviously there is no correct or incorrect answer to this. It’s just your personal experience as a writer during these past days, months or years. Thank you very much for your comments on this respect. I greatly appreciate them. All the best for your sites and for every post you write.

Hi Henry, for me its a matter of HOW I FEEL on that day...and then I decide to write in the morning or wait until I FEEL right.
Tom

Hey, Tom! Yes, I totally understand that aspect and it truly is a very important one. Thank you very much for bringing that point to the table. I really appreciate your insight. All the best!

Hmm... I think d) though my brain does work better in the evening but that would be my research and planning time.

Hi! Yes, I understand. We might have a certain time during the day when we frequently do work for our website, but we are open to work on it any time of the day. Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. I really appreciate your insight. All the best!

I go with "d". For me, inspiration can't tell time. LOL!

All the best,
Sue

Hi, Sue! That's a very good point! I like it! Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. All the best!

Hi, Henry. This is an interesting question that I think will be interesting to see members' responses to.

I think I write best at night because I have fewer interruptions and I am most creative then. Most of my time in the day time I'm working on research or getting my outline ready to start writing.

I agree that it's best to write something every day, but at times when I'm deep in research, I don't do any productive writing while I'm gathering information. I do respond to my WA messages every day, and that's writing as well, just a different kind.

Carol

Hi, Carol! I have also seen the benefits of writing at night: fewer interruptions. That is a very good plan, to research during the day and write at night. And when you are totally into researching it's perfectly fine not to write. Your insight has been very useful.Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. All the best!

Option (d) works best for me. The ideas come at any time!

Hey, Mike! Yes, I also agree with you! It's important to write down those ideas when they come because later in the day we may not recall them.Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. All the best!

Early morning & afternoons. Get busy after that.
Jae

Jae, that's great. Some times having a set time helps us to be prepared to write when those hours arrive. Mornings are really great for writing.Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. All the best!

once I took my writing challenge writing times seem to be when I can get them...I typically, write a coupleof hours in the morning, run errands, or life, and then then evening...through, whatever time! Hey, henry ? Did you do this on site content...I can't get my piece, from, saved file to here!

Hi, Barb! :) Yes, I understand and that's a good point: Writing times seem to be when we can get them.

I didn't use SiteContent for this particular post. But I usually write my post in Microsoft Word and after that I paste it in SiteContent for grammar check. And after that I copy and paste to the window for writing blogs here at Wealthy Affiliate. When the post is going to be published on my blog roll here at WA I have not discovered a way to publish directly through SiteContent (as I do when I publish to my website). If any other member knows how to do this, I would greatly appreciate your insight.

It's always a pleasure to her from you Barb! :) Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. All the best! :)

I am doing content for my website , and I don't think about time of day as I research and find something I put it in my own words and try to take it off in a new "different " similar path. Sometimes It works BUT i do it with pen and paper and i feel more in touch with my writing and thoughts, but then I AM OLD SCHOOL , 69 stawhu

Hi Stawhu, I've always hand written first, but lately I've been using Open Office and type my ideas into a document. When I'm happy with the script I can then copy and paste into content. I type quicker than I can write so that is a benefit for me. I guess what ever works for you.
Cheers, Jae

i have a problem with my left arm so although once i could type now i am a hunt and peck. but i still think that writing gives me more time to mull over what i am writing about and to decide if the first thought is the way i really want to express it or if there actually might be a more correct way way to convey it and then i check for succinctness. it helps keep me in touch with my direction.

Jae, yes writing content might be quite different for each of us. I have written content for my site with pen and paper and also directly on my PC. But recently I have started to use my cell phone and found it greatly beneficial.

I have noticed that special feeling, because I have also written some of my posts with pen and paper. But recently I have started to use my cell phone and all though at first I didn't feel very comfortable, I have started to enjoy writing with it.

Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your comment with us. All the best!

My answer I'd 'd' because I write when the need hits me or when I get an idea on something to write. That can be at anytime like all day until I get it done or bits and chunks over time, it just depends.

Hey, Carlitos! Yes, ideas come and go pretty quick. That's a very good point to try to draft an idea the moment it comes to you. Thank you very much for sharing your comment with us. All the best!

I think the time of day does matter but due to other obligations, some of us don't have the luxury of optimum time. For me it's after 11 PM.

Yes, I can totally relate to what you are saying. It's really a luxury to have the optimum hours of the day. Thank you very much for sharing your comment with us. All the best!
