Progress and feedback report by an out-of-place introvert.

I prefer not to be the center of attention, socializing online or offline is not my
thing, when I encounter a problem I start by using the Google search engine,
being noisy is against my nature. Fighting for a spot on the stage or in the
limelight? Not for me.

I know, you've got a saying that proclaims it's the squeaking wheel that gets the
grease. I don't like grease. "Very weird," people might say. "Thank you," will be
my answer.

WA feels a lot like a social media site to me. I wonder why? Google has the
answer. In a study published in Psychological Science, researchers found that
extroverts tend to be overrepresented in social networks. Now I feel like an
OOPArt (out-of-place artifact).

I can hear some of you say that I will miss all the fun, keeping quiet and to
myself like this. Not to worry, the antics of the more social humans is a constant
source of fun to me.

What about your progress report, one or two might ask if I keep this up for much longer.
Oh well, here it is; distraction does not always work. Knew I could not fool all of
you all the time.

I'm just fine, learning a lot, having fun - all those antics, you know. Although the
WA community is a bit noisy and distracting, I can easily navigate to the
essential parts.

Even though the training is very good, I struggled to find a niche - something I
am 'passionate' about. I could not come up with a niche fast enough, so I
decided to promote WA instead. After a bit of research and confirmation from
someone I respect, I decided to put the promotion of WA on hold. I'm not ready
for that yet, it will come in time.

It took me a while to realize I'm looking for a needle in a haystack when I try to
find something I'm 'passionate' about - I don't get 'passionate' about 'things.'
Instead I looked for something that I'm interested in and would like to know
more of. And found it.

At this stage I'm focusing on giving value by writing quality content - which
takes time. Five quick posts a week or one quality post? I opted for the quality
approach and my initial idea of creating a niche blog died a premature death.

If it were not for the prohibitive exchange rate, I would have upgraded to a
yearly account. I'm glad that I decided to go Premium.

All of you are invited to take a stroll to my blog, it feels a bit lonely. I suspect my blog is an extrovert too - you will get along just fine. http://thewalkerguide.com/

Keep it up! And like Hal said, go at your own pace. You'll get to where you want to be with it.

You're not so introvert afterall ;-)

I would suggest doing the site comments and feedback thing. Will help a lot!

Thanks, I discovered the comments in SiteRubix and it suits me fine - I don't have to ask and beg for comments. That part of WA are made for introverts!

You don't have to beg for anything here. Just ask and ye shall recieve!

I think you're doing just fine, Henning. Just keep going at your own pace and don't wear out those walking shoes. But if you do, let us know where you get yours when you monetize your site :-)

Thanks a lot, will do that.
