I feel frustrated with Wealthy Affiliate

Hello Everyone,

Today I just want to share what I feel about WA. A little bit negative though, so you may not want to read this.

At first, I am quite estatic to join WA. I learn about making new website from zero! So I think, let's upgrade to become premium member, 19USD.

Then I see that I need to buy domain with 15USD price for second lesson. Damn. It's not that I stingy, but I still need to help my family. After I see this, I see what other website do, need to fork money again. Can someone tell me if there any lesson that need to fork money again beside this?

Then I think, let's borrow my family phone so I can get 3USD to reduce the domain price. Yeah. It's success, I got 3 USD, but... the rule say I need minimum 40 credit point/20 affiliate and 5% of that to become a premium member. So much my idea for reducing price for domain. Damn it. I already got so many idea to write too!

Is there an example someone become success with siterubix? What the pro and con?

Thank you for reading until now. Feel free to leave whatever comment you can.

Start with siterubix, but do upgrade to your own domain and site when you. I have a number of sites, one of old ones wanted £55, to host for the next year, plus £13.99 to keep my domain name. So I consider the free hosting brilliant. If I worked it out it probably more than pays for my premium. But you an only do what you can afford to do. I class my premium as a business expence and claim it against tax.

We should think of this as a business. All businesses have expenses. The small business site I created at the first of the year paid for my yearly WA expenses and domain renewals. I earn $5 regularly just with Swagbucks.

With the annual discount abd Black Friday special. I pay just under $25 a month or $299 a year. I host 21 sites free with my Oremium membership so I actually save money.

I never heard anyone making full time income with a siterubix website. Anyway you can start building with siterubix and upgrade to your own domain later.

Hi Hendra,

I suggest you start with SiteRubix which is free. You can get a taste of building up your first website and going through the training. Once you are comfortable with your progress, you can buy a domain and transfer your SiteRubix site over. It is a simple process and doesn't take more than 15 mins. I did it myself. As for pro and con, members might have differing experience but for me, I think owning my personalised domain helps in building my BRAND from day 1 (actually, I bought my domain after 1 month of SiteRubix) and the other advantage is faster Google indexing. One day after I bought my domain, I noted a marked improvement in indexing speed.

For $15 a year, the domain purchase is a good investment and probably the only one you need apart from WA monthly subscription.

Hey Hendra03,
I have been here going on 3 years, and the only expense I have is the fee for WA which is $49/mo. You can get it a lot cheaper if you can afford the yearly at $354 (I think this is right??) I just have not been able to come up with that all at once. I also have purchased several domains at approximately $15/year. You also have to pay for your domains once a year. As stated in another conversation, the domain costs about .04cents/day and WA, even at the monthly cost is $1.60/day. That is a grand total of $1.64 per day. That is less than a cup of coffee from Starbucks! If you pay the yearly membership, your cost per day for WA is .98cents per day per Kyle in another conversation. That plus the .04cents for the domain is a grand total of $1.02 per day! You cannot even buy a McDonalds Dollar Menu for $1.02 per day because tax makes it more. If you are not in the U.S., this may not apply to you. But it gives you an idea of how reasonable the cost is. Also, being here for almost 3 years, we have not purchased anything else because EVERYTHING YOU NEED is included in WA.

You can start with Siterubix until you get through the first level of training which is available for free. But you really need all of the rest of the training to be successful. In order to get that, you need to go premium. With premium, $49/mo. or $29/mo. paid all at once for the year, you get ALL OF THE TRAINING plus hundreds of training tapes by Jay, the research tools, hosting, plug-ins, security and many more tools available to you. On top of that, you get the help of the community!

I know it can be hard to come up with the money. My husband and I face this every month, but we so strongly believe in this that we scrape every month to pay the fee. Someday we will get back all that we have paid in 10 fold. Instead of worrying about the cost of the domain ($15/yr.) try to put your savings into the yearly cost. If you could come up with the $357 for the year, your savings would be approximately $231/yr!!!!!! If you work very hard and put in as much time as possible building your site, you could possibly be profitable in 6+months. Some have done it in 3 months!

This is a program that will take some time. You are not going to be making money next week. You have to look more long term than that. I know it is probably very painful to come up with the fees monthly, (I understand because we struggle every month) but try to focus on a year from now and how different life will be for you and your family! If you really want this, you will find a way! Good Luck! I hope we have all helped you?

Hey, Hendra!

I understand your distress. Besides your domain, there is no additional purchase in the following lessons.

But you could start building your site on the siterubix subdomain, and later on transfer it with one click to your own domain.

You could also check this if you plan to stay a while using siterubix: And once you decide to move over to your own domain, you’ll still get the traffic you earned using siterubix: I hope this info help! All the best! :)

Thank you for your reply Mr. Henry. I think I will try with siterubix and see how far I goes in the end of my premium. I will choose what next from there. :)

You're most welcome! Let's keep in touch! All the best!

I use something called honey, I think it’s an extension you put into your browser it finds all the discounts associated with the websites such as buying domains, hope this helps
Brett

Hi Hendre03,
Be calm, WA is guiding members and giving training, domain is separate. It's your very own property, your brand name and nobody could take it away from you. That will be your very own website.

It's $15 a year for a domain. hosting is free with your premium account here.

There is nothing else you need to buy. In the future (up to you) you can opt for a premium theme, an autoresponder, and other tools to help your business.

Come on buddy, how much is $15 a year? It's about 4 US cents a day my friend. FOUR cents a day. This is your business and if you are not prepared to invest even 4 cents a day into that business then you're not going to do very well.

As I said, all you need is your domain, and your wealthy affiliate membership. This will be more than okay for a year or more. Depends on when you want to go for email marketing, premium themes, stuff like that.

Good luck!
