Post Political Humour

OK folks, I got this emailed to me today and thought I would pass it on. It levels the current political playing field.

A man died and went to Heaven. As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him.

He asked, “What are all those clocks for?”

St. Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone who has ever been on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock move.”

*“Oh”, said the man. “Whose clock is that?”*

“That’s Mother Teresa’s”, replied St. Peter. “The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.”*

“Incredible”, said the man. “And whose clock is that one?”

St. Peter responded, “That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abraham told only two lies in his entire life.”

“Where’s Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton's clocks?” asked the man.

St. Peter replied, “We’re using them as ceiling fans.”*

Cute and oh so true, unfortunately...Now we are living the nightmare...Cheers! Dave : )

You should feel the atmosphere over here. I believe the US is now being called Trumpistan. Australia has worked closely with the states for years. Now we are being pissed off.

I am overseas, have been for years (Since 17)...I do have ties over there though, and I feel and see it all the way to Germany/Dubai/Asia...

What have they done? I did vote through the state of Florida, not that it changed anything... Not a question, a statement...Let's see how long the circus goes on...

Cheers!
Dave : )

lol

Grr!!

Right back at you Daniel. After all if we can't laugh at ourselves something is wrong!

Yes, I understand Helen and can certainly see your viewpoint. I grr'd, because I'd love to be able to write seriously about my passion on the platform - forbidden! - but joking about it is okay even if a few find it distasteful.

Sorry. I am a religious man, and jokes about it are as much of a bane to me, as it would be to the non-religious, if I were to write seriously about it on here. I realize that I'm in the minority here and be regarded by some as foolish, albeit, it's all or none.

Further, the political part may offend others, though it doesn't me. Not that I can't laugh at myself, but that it is very sacred to me and found it distasteful, I don't believe there is anything wrong with this.

Anything wrong with this - certainly not. Unfortunately it's getting so you can't say anything anymore. Well I laugh at Canadian and Australian jokes!

Okay. I'm not here to make you angry, and in spite of my best efforts to make a point about fairness, etc, here's what I'm going to do going forward.

If the title has "Joke," or "Humour" in it, I will not open it. I didn't mean to create enemies here, but I can see that I have between us and probably others who have read this thread, and so I must eat it and you win. Continue as you are to post jokes themed religion, as you mean no harm by it, even though some elements in it convey some serious, ongoing misconceptions, which you (and most) see as 'nothing wrong.') I won't comment anymore and will leave things like this in God's hands.

I am who I am through careful, extensive study, and the convictions that come thereof has certainly changed my values, and have made me much more serious about life. However, I do know how to, and when to laugh. This is healthy. I am very amused watching little kids and young animals do the things they naturally do sometimes, and the beauty I see around me brings joy.

The road for a devout Christian is long, steep, rocky and very narrow, and to be able to laugh at times, does balance things out.

To go much further than this between us would have me discussing religion where it isn't supposed to be, so I stop here.

95% here will laugh at them (including Kyle & Carson) and I'm in the minority, so carry on...

All the best :)

Daniel

Daniel, I am not angry and not an enemy. You are totally entitled to be what you want.

So what I will do if I see a funny story or joke is try and neutralise it so all can enjoy!

So back to being comfortable WA buddies.

Yes :) WA buddies still strong betwixt us! Thanks for not being mad at me, that really caught me off-guard.

And ta ta for now!

You can't honestly compare Trump and Clinton. Why? You need to look at all the criminal behavior that Hillary has either denied or lied about. And don't believe all the "fake" news that comes your way.

Allan, I am not comparing anyone. And I have absolutely no faith in the media. A friend of mine once worked in the news workers club. They told her 'never let the facts ruin a good story.'

And I also believe that someone who has been bankrupt and doesn't appear to pay tax might just have a fib or two up their sleeve. But perhaps that is also media hype.

I just thought this was quite funny!

There's a big difference between funny and divisive. If America is going to be strong again, the majority of the people need to unite in our hearts and minds.

This would be funnier if not for the truth1
Thanks for the share
Sami

Check out Loes' link below. I laughed out loud.

Life wasn't meant to be serious!

I agree with that
