Im back! We have made it through our four weeks in Central Africa !

It was definitely an experience, I wont say 'good experience' because we had a few issues that were pretty scary at the time, but now are a dim and distant memory.... somethig to build strategies on should we go back to Central Africa again, although have to be honest, we are not planning on it.

One of the most annoying issues for me to cope with was the horrendous wifi that they get. How do they do anything?? Well the simple answer is that they dont which could explain why so many African countries struggle with their economy.. Ill tell you a story....

So we were in the final week in Kigali. My son had chatted with a coach from Nairobi and he had recommended getting grass tennis shoes to play there, despite the fact its actually clay courts. So I thought... oooh that's not an easy find in Rwanda where they have no grass tennis courts, and seem to have no sports shops either... they seem to only be able to get stuff from the supermarkets. So decided that I would look on Amazon and get them delivered to the hote in Nairobi ready for our arrival... Do you know something?...

THEY DO NOT HAVE AMAZON IN RWANDA !

Of course they dont.... what was I thinking????? Complete idiot ! Its very easy to see that they dont have things like amazon or any perceptible online shopping industry in Rwanda at all... Come to mention, they dont have Amazon in Kenya either...

Whilst this was a huge challenge for me to source these trainers for my son, I did manage to get them shipped from Morocco through a friend, because they dont have Amazon either....

It made me appreciate my place of birth so much more.... In fact, it made me appreciate living in Spain so much more. Here in Spain things are not easy, everyone works at 1/2 speed - oh bring your car in on Monday at 8.30am for its service .... OK being British 8.30am is 8.30am... I was there bang on 8.30am.... but the place was deserted, they rock up at 8.50am !!! How can you run a company on those hours ?? Well Ive got to say here what my son said to me.... 'First world problems Mom...'

So I am back in Spain.... my rank here has dropped, because of lack of internet access but I have been able to keep up with the production due to last month's training from Kyle in that I had several blogs planned out and just needed to write them. I was able to do that without wifi and then upload when I got the chance. Its not ideal but it got me through, still waiting for that first referral though.. I will keep going.

On the plus side, I have noticed that once the articles were uploaded onto the WA platform, I had written so many more words than I usually do. I usually manage around 1200 per article despite trying to write more, but having written as Kyle suggested, I have been writing articles with over 2000 words with ease and the comments back have been great. So a bonus !

Have a great day !

It was an 'experience' for sure. One, maybe, that has given you plenty to learn from. If you do have to go back, at least you'll be more prepared and might be able to enjoy more of the trip.

Glad you're home safely. Jim

I have been intrigued few people from those first World people on Facebook 😎. Have done messaging with a couple inside some pro Jesus groups. And I have to say their conviction to the word is so strong and very admirable.

Thank you for share Helen.

Regards
Rob
