I Need Support
Im at a loss today.... I have spent several days trying to get to grips with a plugin for a menu. I cant leave it... I cant let it beat me.
I have tried witth Ubermenu but I cannot understand the levels it works on and how to put them together.... So I got someone on Fiverr to set it up for me. I wish I hadnt. Its not exactly how I want it to be, it is almost but not quite and so thats been bugging me.
So I decided after they told me I was a difficult customer, to do it myself but I just cannot work out the levels. I can see that the learning curve for this will be long. Yes I can go onto the tutorials on you tube from the company but that will take a deal of time and I have many other things backing up, not least another 8 blogs before May20. And the internet in Namibia is iffy. Its not easy working here. Takes a while for stuff to load so every tweak I give it I have to wait for it to update.
But I cannot give up on it. I do have another plugin that probably will give me the same sort of menu but that too is not easy....
I dont know what to do.. go back and carry on being a difficult customer, continue struggling with it myself, use the other plugin and see if that would be easier?
Please dont suggest I give up on the mega menu.... I cant...

That is a cool function!
Did you see this link at Elegent Themes?
https://www.elegantthemes.com/documentation/divi/mega-menus/
Thanks Glen, Ive looked at so much but I will go look at your link right now, it might be the information i really need. Thanks so much !
Wow I’ll be honest with you, I wish I knew what you were talking about because I’m still so confused about the plugins. I haven’t tried anything other than what’s suggested so far that had easy instructions, because I know I’ll mess everything up if I try to fiddle with my site. I hope site support can help and good for you for not giving up!
Well, I think you should be proud to be a "difficult customer" You know what you want. I am not so sure that I would want to work with someone that tells me that I'm difficult.
I am trying to use as simple a free theme as possible, so I have not tried adding any menu plugins. When I couldn't make my last theme look right with minimal effort, I changed. I have no patience with difficult themes or plugins.
So, unfortunately I can not provide any advise other than ask site support for their opinion.
Thanks Sondra, I have achieved more with my theme than I thought I would. its divi and known to be a great theme but problematic. The mega menu is something i have seen on other sites and so want it on my website and I know now that `i have seen it nothing else will do. 😩
I have to battle on and achieve it. Im not going back to Fiverr, apart from anything else, if I am already a difficult customer, theyre not going to like me further down the line when I cant alter the menu to suit the changing state of my website. I cant be worried about that so have to have one that I can do myself. That was the whole point of having a website, it was something I had done for myself. The mistake I made was getting someone else to do it. I should have just gotten on with it myself.
Maybe you can ask with the "question option" for help with Divi themes mega menu. I think the question will stay posted for people to see until you get a few answers.
To get to the question feature, click on the purple help center tab.
Id like to show you .... This screen shot is a mega menu. I can do regular menus with tabs but I want one like this. The plugin says it does this but I cant get it right. Another member here in WA has been awesome and got me on my way but I need to tweak it more.
Thanks for this website Lisa, Ive bookmarked it in case I really cant get the menu I want, it does look very similar to where Im trying to get. Thanks !
Oh Helen, I wish I knew how to assist. I know how frustrating it is to work when you have intermittent Internet and also how tricky it is when plugins go wrong. Have you tried asking Site Support to help? I haven't used Mega menu so I'm also at a loss.
Ill ask them but sadly I think it will be something that is unique to my theme which they may not be able to help with. Its not that the plugin doesnt work but that I dont know how to use it. But thankyou for stopping by and offering your support.

Hmmm. Helen, I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do with your menu, but I would customize it yourself rather than using a plugin. Marion has a very good tutorial on how to create custom tabs and links. Then you can add, change, do as you please without the need of a plugin. Menu With Custom Links and Drop Down Non-Clickable Headings How "mega" are you trying to get?
I was wanting to get menus within menus. So that when you click on a tab you would get a list of all blogs in that catagory and two would be featured with image.
Ahhhh gotcha now. If I think of anything I'll get back to you.
