Do We Really Have Teamwork Here at WA ?
I thought things were getting better with Site Comments. From what I had read, about the alerations to the platorm, we would be getting a better deal. I bought some comments today. I have a new website and a ton of work to do on it and really didnt have time to offer my opinions today.
I have had to reject 4 and it really annoys me that we are still getting people who think its okay to just use a few of the headings in their review for my cash. I take my job seriously when I offer comments. I read the article, think about it, take time to decide what i feel about the article and then write the reivew.
The pings on my phone from site comments started within 2 minutes of me requesting comments. That was not long enough to read either of the two articles I asked for comments on. Both had over 1,000 words and without making assumptions, the people who commented on them, english was not their first language.
I thought we were all here for the same thing, that we were working as a team, supporting each other and learning together. There are some out there that think I am an idiot and want their weak comments on my awesome website. They are wrong.
I am at a loss as to what to do. Im not happy that I paid for the comments today and had to reject 4.
I am sure that there are more improvements in the pipeline and with everything else here, it is only a small part, just frustrating as hell.
My website is way better than those crappy comments, and I will not have such superficial comments on my website. We are better than this, NO MORE WEAK COMMENTS. If you take the time to leave comments, make them worth the time you take.

I totally agree with you, Helen. This makes me think twice about getting comments via WA unfortunately... I thought the comments here would be stellar just like everything else so far. Sad.
Dont get me wrong, there are a lot of people here who leave amazing comments and take the task seriously, but to be totally transparent, I find that it is frequently those that do not speak english as their first language and their english isnt really good enough and use headings from the article into their comments thinking thats ok because I suspect their english is not good enough to read the article and understand it. But they still want the credits.

I am also promoting WA with my new website, doing the SAC... its a new venture for me as I have only done affiliate marketing up to now. Been doing that about 3 years. I am not a fussy person usually about comments and have let things go a little with my other site, but this is important to me and I feel that if I am paying for something either in cash or time, the person giving the comment should earn their credit by doing a decent job and that didnt happen.

Yes, I totally understand what you're saying. Definitely, the person who wants credit for giving a comment it should be a good comment. I had some bad comments on my dive site.
I still do get the odd comments where I correct spelling and grammar.
If you're not happy, then for sure, reject it. Honestly, that's the way the member will learn and it's not a bad thing. It's a way to learn and improve on their comments.

Great feedback. I haven't got to a stage where I am seeking comments on my website yet. Do we have an option to volunteer to give comments or are people picked by WA?
If you are paying for a service that is not returned with quality, then surely any payment or credits should be refunded?
Like you say, we are here as a community to help each other succeed.
I hope you future hard work is rewarded with quality comments and reviews.

Hi Sara, yes you can buy comments, or as is my preferred way is to offer comments to others and earn credits to use for your own request for comments, thats what I usually do but Ive a ton of work to do and didnt have time.
Yeah its all about balance isn't it. With limited time its so hard. Do you comment on others to build credits, or do you research and write content for your own website? I just found the comment section and offered to leave comments. Spent half an hour giving really good comments and questions, but it all disappeared as I pressed submit! So figured I'd do some training then come back to it in the morning!
I write content for my own website. I so dont have time to do content for others! But I will leave comments on other peoples websites when i can.

I usually do as you mentioned read the post, think about the post, and I try to put myself in the actual website visitors place. I don't know if that's right or wrong.
I just don't want to appear like I am constantly leaving fake comments. You know what I mean...
Anyhow, my comments are usually anywhere from 180 words to 450. I even try to leave questions so, that the website owner has an option to reply back adding even more content to their comment section.
Anyhow, I recently started using site comments recently for the first time. Although I been a member for a little over a year, I've never used it due to all the negative things I hear about.
I'll have to admit at first I was confused about how to leave the comment because I saw the actual website itself and an option to leave the comment within WA.
Needless to say, I asked the community first before, I left any comments so that helped me out. I have to agree with you, I've had a few people leave short comments that added little or no value to my comment section but, I also try to consider that some people are still learning how things are working.
I don't know I'm just hoping this is the case but, yes I would be upset too if I paid for the comments and had to reject the comment.

Thanks Kisha, its a shame others dont ask if theyre not sure, but disappointing when I know Kyle has been trying to improve the system.
I agree with you Helen, people should ask when they don't know how to use something properly. I know I do at least. Hopefully, everything improves soon.
