Do As I Say Not As I Do!
I’m a hypocrite....
I distinctly remember only a few weeks ago, commenting on someone’s blog post that I could never use someone else to write for me. That my website was my ‘baby’ and it deserved all the love and attention of its creator!
I said that no one could write for me, the style and tone would not be the same, and having a smattering of OCD. I would have to check every last word, so I might as well do it myself..
So what possessed me to sign up for a ‘public selling rights’ ebook website??
Well.. I know what possessed me... that time honoured emotion - stress!
I’ve so much to do.. nothing new here for all of us have sooo much to do.. but.. hear me out..
If I got an ebook that I could use as a subscriber ‘carrot’ I could set up an autoredponder and start getting subscribers!! YES! My reasoning was sound..
The follow through .. hmm not so much.. because I had forgotten one very important factor... when you pay peanuts what do you get? Rubbish!
Oh I’ve got an ebook.. several in fact for various strategies I have planned.. but every single one needs rewriting!!
And it’s not me being picky. ( I don’t think so anyway🤣)
I realised my mistake when I read the first sentence..
‘we have duty to world to make pass on knowledge and stuff, so we fulfil our might and position and do good with our fellow man.’
😱
It’s not all as bad as that but considering the topic is niches, we are way off the mark..
so rather than saving me time, I am now rewriting the damn ebook! Oh well, they say Rome wasn’t built in a day... Just got to remember to practice what I preach!

Learning something the hard way Helen is ... well hard. But I understand your thinking. You had just been accepted into the SAC, and you knew this was going to be demanding. Doing the Bootcamp Training is one thing, but doing it on Kyle's schedule makes it even more challenging.
My guess is that if you add up the time you spent finding a writer you liked, working out the contract, getting the project started, doing the editing, etc. that you probably could have written the eBook yourself in that time.
I think I read somewhere that you like to write. Well is shows. You are an excellent writer.
I do like writing Dennis, so its not such a hardship! But I suppose having all these things to do is part and parcel of the whole process... making time and being efficient! So Im being super efficient now !

Unfortunately, sometimes we have to do and get things right a second and third time in-between banging our heads on the wall but success is in the experience and you can do it.

Ha ha! That is pretty funny....but not for you! I can imagine your chagrin as you read that first sentence and realized what you got. I am sorry!
You know that you are on the right path with your own writing however.

Thanks jessica ! The only positive thing from it is that it has actually made me do the ebook ! Its one of those things that you think youll do when you have the time, when you have done this or that and you never get to that point because there is always something else that seems more important but I have got to sort it now so it will be !
