The Drive

So, I have taken off the ten days recommended by the end of the Bootcamp Course 2. I havent taken them off completey. I still have two other websites that I'm working on, but I gave my affiliate site a little bit of a rest.

It's a good thing I did. Those ten days have just been slammed.

I've had work problems, family problems, car problems, financial problems. I've been getting little sleep and I've been eating crap and gaining weight while trying to function and navigate through what has been the past ten days. I'm going to lose my car at the end of my lease and I'm no closer to having a place of my own to live. Mild depression has kicked in.

What was I supposed to do? What I always do. I went for a drive.

There is no greater joy than for me to be behind the wheel of my car with the open road ahead of me. I'll have my camera on the seat next to me, coffee in the cup holder and music on through my Bluetooth. What I left behind doesn't so much as cross my mind while the wheels are rolling.

One of the reasons I'm working on this affiliate marketing, that I hope so badly to make this all happen is so that I have the freedom to pack up and run, even if it's only for a day.

I'll come home, process some pictures and then walk into work the next morning with a little more life to me than there was when I left.

Now I have a clear mind for writing reviews and articles. Now I can think ahead. What is my next article? What is my next product to review? How am I going to make this work?

All thanks to my most successful stress release — the drive.

I have the wander-urge too. The challenge of figuring out where to sleep and eat in a new place makes me feel very alive. We live in an RV so we take advantage of being able to wander off for a weekend somewhere else once a month or so. Eventually, I'd love to be able to travel full time instead of needing to return to the home-base city for work.

I will confess that I have an "Oh, gee, I mostly accidentally drove too far to get home and now have to wing it" kit in my car — an eighteen gallon bin of survival gear, a sleeping bag and a tent. One of these days I'll actually use it.

Hi Kelli!!
So glad you were able to clear out the mind!
There's so much I'd like to say here, but I find myself typing and deleting... so here's what I will say.... Good Job!! You took some time, and did your thing!!

Balance is a key
Well done for taking time out :)

Congrats on your progress. I need ten days off myself.
Good luck and much success in the coming months.
