Hi there!

My name is Kelli Heitstuman-Tomko. I am a former newspaper reporter with a journalism degree who dabbles in photography. I am currently the front desk manager of a small hotel in Fallon, Nevada.

I found WA in 2016 during a very poor time in my life. I just lost a job, and that has resulted in problems I am still dealing with at the end of 2018. But, the entire situation has me thinking outside the box, so here I am.

In addition to being the ever-present employee, I'm also a novelist with a book available on Amazon and another in the rewrite process, and I maintain a small Paleo following (totally inadvertent).

I've recently moved from beautiful Colorado to Nevada, which is taking some getting used to, but I have found some beautiful places here, as well (The cover photo for my blog was taken about 50 miles from where I now live, out on the 40-Mile Desert.) I've had to move in with my parents, which has been difficult, because my cat is with friends in Colorado and is waiting for me to come get her. Oh, yeah, I also have three grown children in Colorado (can you tell where my priorities are?)
HeitstyTom's Goals 3
Money Goals
Answer 1. I want to make enough money to be financially secure. In that, I mean, I don't want to decide to take a short vacation and then tear my hair out over how I'm going to pay my bills. I want to live, not merely exist. (If I need a round number, roughly $5000 a month would make me very happy.)

Answer 2. I would be ecstatic making enough to laugh at the idea of needing to win the lottery (that I never play).

Answer 3. Writing is my life. If I can find a way to make that pay, I will invest all my time in it. It's just me and the cat. I don't owe anyone else my time. It's time for me to live MY life, and this is what I want to do with it.

Success is very cumulative in nature. Every action you take will add up to a much greater success. I can tell you that when you earn your first money, it will all become very REAL and it will lead to much more success.

Personally it took me a couple of months to get there (to earn my first dime), but by month 6 I was earning a consistent income. That is likely what your journey will look like...stay persistent and ask for help when you need it. I am in your "corner" every step of the way Kelli! :)

Hi, Kelli!

It's good to see you here. I tried my hand at journalism but found it too stressful. You mentioned the Old West, I lived near Tombstone, AZ in the early 80's.

I look forward to helping you build an online business that will fund your travels and adventures.

I'm here for you,
Gary

I would love to see Tombstone, though I worry that it might be too commercial. (?) My son and I were just at Virginia City in Nevada and we were disappointed with commercialized it had become, though we were there more to photograph existing buildings that we were interested in. It's hard to do when the world is full of tourists. Most of my work has in ghost towns around Colorado, and we did go out to Bodie, California while we were in Nevada.

Thank you for the welcome. It was through your "Writing is a Super Power" that I found WA.

Hi, Kelli!

I'm so glad you found my website and your way to WA. You'll have all the help you need to make your online business successful. Writing is the toughest part for most people, so you're way ahead of the pack.

When I was in Tombstone, it was a little touristy, but in a fun way. Of course, that was 30 years ago. On Sundays, the locals dressed up in period costumes and some had gun fights in the street. I have fond memories of that time.

I'm on the East Coast and my brain is used up for the day.

I'm here for you,
Gary
