What Horses Have Taught Me
There is a saying in the horse world …
Take the time it takes so it takes less time.
Basically it just means do it right the first time and take as long as you need to ensure you have set solid foundations for your horse. Take the time it takes to get it right and you won't have to go back and re-teach what you half-a$$ed the first time.
🔥 This works for horses, online business and for life in general 🔥
I know I have been guilty of it, in fact I am a serial offender in this regard.
When I start something new I jump in boots and all, I have a tendency to rush to get things completed and have been known to cut the odd corner to speed things up.🤪
Often times it can be a fair way down the track 🛤 before you realised that the foundations were not solid, and you now have a big problem and major gaping holes in your education.
Stuff that is now going to take you twice as long to rectify than if you'd just taken your time the first go round.
Don’t get me wrong I am not advocating for waiting till everything is perfect, you must take ACTION even if it is imperfect action, just ensure your BASICs are solid before you move on.

Believe me as I speak from experience, if you do this you are just extending the time it's going to take, when you have to go back and re-learn or undo the mistakes you made the first time round.

Great information you have provided and very true. I would love nothing more if I got it right the first, second, or even the third time but that is not the case for me.
You are correct though, I have to get it right the first time where I do not have to go back and correct things.

I don't think it matters if we don't get it perfectly right the first few times, we try and we learn, but I found I was missing some crucial education and then other things weren't working either 😁
This is great advice Heidi. Having patience will help also. To often the corners are cut because we have the urgency to get where we want to be.
I am happy take my time and build a solid foundation, then I can continue to build in confidence. It may take longer but it's worth it.
Definitely worth it Twack, and it is exactly as you say we all want to get to where we want to be as quickly as possible, that's just human nature I reckon.

Hi Heidi. I'm guilty of taking too long. Guess I'm kind of old fashion.I usually like the end result though. I don't like to rush things because I get overwhelmed easily.

Imperfect action is better than no action I reckon, we need to get things out into the world to see what's working, the training here is great for keeping us on the right path and making sure we have solid foundations to build our business on.
Can't argue with that.
