Niche Site Project - Anyone done the training?

I am a big fan of Doug Cunnington (amongst others) and have read loads of his blogs and free stuff. I'm just wondering if anyone has done his Five Figure Niche Site training?

Maybe shiny object syndrome!

OK so I may have shiny object syndrome (or is that guru syndrome!)

Having read his website and the claims of making exceptional monthly income with Amazon Affiliate sites within shorter periods of time than I seem to be able to achieve, I must say I am tempted to sign up.

Just looking for personal accounts if anyone has done any of his training.

Is it any different to what we are learning here?
Should I save my money or is there something I am missing?
Would more 1 on 1 training be beneficial for me and my sites?

I have competed the Online Certification and now half way through Level 5 Bootcamp so it's not like I am not doing training and trying to learn the best way to go about this already.

Yes I am looking for a faster way. I have a further 12 months to be generating a full time wage and I want to make sure I make the most of 2019 and don't squander away my time.

Your thoughts appreciated as always.

Happy New Year

I have found a few shiny object syndrome and they work.

Thanks for your comment.

Michael sums it up perfectly, really and echoes my thoughts.

One thing I would say in addition is this, with what we learn here, both through the online course, affiliate bootcamp and other trainings that are produced is that we have enough material to do OUR own training, which effectively is free to members of WA, because its internal, but to outsiders, it would cost the premium membership to access, because the course landing page is a way for them to sign up

So why not, be the Shiny Object for SOMEONE else & earn that way

I did the same a few years ago ( well 10 years ago) when I was falling for a ton of copy and spending money, til I then decided to learn how to copy write and reverse the process... which worked.

Thanks for your thoughts Dave, I have leveraged the training here on my Bootcamp site and you are right I could certainly be doing more of it.

Perhaps I just need to not be so impatient for results. A few months ago I was all good with it taking the time it takes, now all of a sudden it seems to be taking too long lol.

Anyway I have a plan and goals for 2019 so I’ll get to work on them and make it a reality :)

Glad it helped Heidi

Hi Heidi,

I had a chance to look into Doug Cunningtons work today. I went through his site, opted into his call to action for the templates and everything, and I took a good look into the templates email sequence setup, guest post and I mean to be honest, Aside from the emails and ways to communicate with people(copyright) the rest is pretty general. Meaning? That it's stuff we have learned here already. Like for example, from selecting a niche to getting the attention of our target audience, it's all similar but just laid out into an infographic.

Not to say its not useful, because parts are-but now that we're not newbies, I can catch those connections early on. We'll see what the next days of his email sequence have to show for. On another subject...

I took a webinar class yesterday, and I learned more about what separates affiliates, and it really can come down to a one page article. One person showed how they created a one page article that excited, connected, proved, and converted. It's called: "The simple 1-page website that makes me $-it's a flashy number blah blah, and I don't put it because I'm tired of hearing it lol. But It makes sense. I'm not paying for his work, but I've taken tips on it.
After about 10 months myself, It does get tiring, I get it. Keep pushing is the key supposedly, and I've kind of slowed down after 100 or so post. Now I'm testing more of the waters of Ads persistently-clickfunnels, FueledLeads social media management, + + and more of that side of it to see if any of this really can work. If you run ads, getting them to your blog post before converting is one proven way, and I'm trying to leverage that.

The hard part to gauge is that their is domain age(DA) and many variables involved that take time, and in the meantime we should be writing, but I think I can assimilate the feeling, that we're not given that like "protective shell guarantee" that all that writing and articles down the road will really pay off in terms of SEO and so forth. So we second guess it. I've accelerated my work since I've had many hours to devote to this, So I guess it's only a matter of time? :)

Thanks Michael, kinda glad it’s not just me feeling like this. You have summed up where I am at to a tee. I’m also in month 10 so maybe it’s a “thing”.

And it’s not that I don’t think this training works, it really is a matter of when!

BUT maybe I’m not writing those blogs that excite and convert! Maybe my keywords aren’t good enough! Maybe I’m just not doing enough work and it really does take a blog every day to make this work!

Or maybe it’s that time of year, what with goal setting and thinking about the future and whatnot, and I just need to calm my farm and get back to work.

Thanks again for your thoughts it is much appreciated.

Ofcourse. Many of us are In this boat whether we like to say it or not. I know it’s exciting but sometimes we have to stand back and change our perception to the shiny object syndromes to the comments we sometimes see from people overstating things. The analogy is like a fish chasing it’s own species...many of us can talk the talk, but when it’s time to walk and show for it, do we really know if others are succeeding?and in what way is just important. A thing to keep in mind. And it quite possibly is just that it’s only been 10 months.

Yes, a matter of when. Not how, what, where, or why, but when. As I’m learning, it’s not easy to sell physical products, no matter how reputable or good you are, many people seem to like services, infographics, automated tools. With products you can Have everything setup, from helping to informing, building trust, an enticing offer, 10x value, but trust can also mean that they don’t trust themselves. Having to help them see that this one product will not fail for them like others.

I think you’re doing good, keep sticking to your keywords, and always aim to put more rich content because google algorithms are going away from just keywords. Don’t stress it out much. I’ve had a very lengthy almost 10,000+ article that was ranked first on bing, and Idk what happened but now it’s like on page 3. Niche algorithm hit possibly. This is one of some, but it sucks to see . Talk about having to accept that lol

I’ll restrain from saying anything about the great pros and cons of a place like WA, but read between the lines and see how they’re succeeding and doing so well and you’ll understand more about AM then you knew. Lastly, everyone’s either building a site or direct sending out their link promoting, and it’s just so tiring to see how much of a cat and fish game it is. I mentioned I had fueledleads for more targeted leads, traffic, and as an affiliate and i see it all the time-promoting-promoting-promoting, so being unique in an approach is important.

The small businesses like us and more established find it hard to compete for business space because at the end without a chance of email responding, you’ll lose people to the higher dogs.that list is vital, but how to get it is a whole other animal.

Take the MMO industry as an example, if something was so good, why are the same people building the next book, or the next marketing material to capture people? I couldn’t help but write this much, sorry lol
