In my experience, and in one word ... YES!

No matter what online business you are in having a mentor who has “been there done that” is priceless.

A good mentor will remove so many of your roadblocks and see you achieving the level of success you are aiming for so much faster.

The biggest killer of dreams when you are starting in online marketing is overwhelm. You become bombarded with options, systems, programs until eventually you don't know which way to turn.

It doesn’t need to be that way!

✅ By choosing a mentor who has a duplicatable system, you remove all that.

✅ You know what to do and when to do it.

✅ When you enter a grey area they will be there to guide you through with advice gained from experience.

We are lucky here at WA to have Kyle, Carson and Jay to mentor us with thier blogs and live training. You will also get your questions answered by so many with skills and expereince in this commuity, that we have pseudo mentors available to us 24/7.

Do you have a personal mentor❓

Hi Heidi,

I do have a mentor (the one who introduced me to WA, Grace LilMama) and Kyle as my personal coach.

I think it is great to have supports from a mentor especially when we just started but after that, following the training is crucial. Then if we're stuck, the community is always here for us.

Also, I am the kind of person who loves exploring and learning new things by myself. If I have a question, I will find the answer myself first. The platform is equipped with a search engine. All training and blog posts by members here are recorded well.

Everyone has their own learning style and speed. However, it might be somewhat overwhelming for many new members if they don't have guidance aside from the training itself.

As always, everyone says: it is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Slow and steady wins the race.

Once we feel overwhelmed, just take a deep breath, list the things that we need to address, or get done first, then if we're stuck, there are always members here who can help.😊

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us today, Heidi.

All the best,
Ferra

So very well put Ferra.

WA is a unique beast in this regard Ferra, the support here from other members is outstanding. I would just caution on running with suggestions without doing your due diligence. You probably wouldn't but newbie's taking advice from other newbie's, no matter how well meaning, is not mentoring or helpful in most cases.

That's true. Definitely don't want to be blind man leads another blind man.

Mentors are a great asset for the exact reasons you posted. To answer your questions. I do not have a personal mentor who I can get help. I usually ask here in the community for an answer or dig around to find the answer to my questions.

I came into WA through a link of my supposed mentor, but they aren't active here. So, somehow, Kyle has become my personal coach. I understand his busy schedule.

Now, would I like to have a personal mentor... probably? It would help me to stay focused and move more quickly to my success. So, I believe there is the answer to all your questions on my end.

When I am ready, I will ask for one... how? Not really sure at the moment... LOL!

Interesting topic... thanks.

Bob

I really think there is scope to explore a mentorship program here at WA. I know we are all supposed to be able to fall back on who introduced us but as you experienced not everyone has that.

Also some people resonate better with others, you may not connect with the person who referred you, doesn't make them a bad person but you need to be uber-comfortable with your mentor I have found.

You’re absolutely right about that. There are certain members here that don’t resonate with me. Then there are others that do. But we each have a small group that become our go to’s for questions.

Sooner or later the mentor will come from that small group. I’ll find one and none of us knows who that may be... at the moment... LOL!

Interestingly I have been toying with the idea over the last month or so. Not necessarily a 'one to one' scenario, though that might be nice, possibly someone to follow. As you say, finding that system that is duplicatable would be a major win, as long as you find the right one.

I'm loving it Twack, my mentor is specifically for the new offer so we are focussed on the one thing. Being able to say to your new clients yes I am doing it and I can show you exactly how to do it also is a great thing ... duplication removes all the guess work

Hard to find a better way to recommend something, than being a part of it yourself.

Other than Kyle and Jay the same as everyone else in WA, I don't have someone who I would call a personal mentor.
When I started with I didn't get here through someone link, so I didn't have someone to follow to as a mentor.
I would have loved to have a personal mentor, but as nice as that would be, I don't think it has hindered me, I can ask questions to thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people in this community and always get something back that moves me forwards.

Best wishes and stay safe.
Gaz

Like he said.

Cheers Gaz, I won't repeat but you put it exactly as I would have.

Have a great day everyone!

I do not, and have not had a mentor while on this amazing journey. There were times in my early days here when I would have liked to have one. I've received a little advice and help along the way from some folks, and that was of immense value. Most helpful have been the ambassadors. They are always there with inspiration and advice. To say that I had A mentor, I would say no.

Greg

We are lucky here in WA to have the community, I see so many newbies trying to make their way in online biz with absolutely no guidance at all. To say they struggle would be an understatement!

I think many leave our industry because they simply get overwhelmed and confused, then they don't make money and therefore leave. Unnecessarily in my opinion.
