Do You Doubt The Value Of Social Media?

I firmly believe that organic SEO as a traffic source is one of the best you can get, it is stable once your site is established and reliable over the long term.

BUT if you want to speed up your results utilising social media to get eyes on your pages is a proven strategy.

This is a post I did a few days ago, it is what’s called a Triple V Post.

  • Value
  • Vulnerability
  • Visibility

As you can see from the response these posts work particularly well.

But what’s the benefit to your business you might be asking❓

Likes and comments don’t sell products or services right❓

Well no they don’t but if you have read anything else I have blogged about you will know that people buy from others they know, like and trust. This post has positioned me as someone who is real and relatable … I have struggles that other people can relate too.

It has also given me permission to directly contact 115 people❗️

Yep that’s 115 warm leads, who already know me, they have shown an interest and most of them will be in the online marketing world, the make money online niche … my target audience.

Of course not all of them will be my dream client but some of them most certainly will be, because the post attracts the right type of people.

Once you understand how to leverage Facebook through a structured system which includes what posts to use, how to generate engaged friends in your niche etc.. you can generate leads and eyes on your content for FREE.

To be perfectly honest if you are not using some sort of social media platform early on in your journey and you are just sitting back waiting for organic SEO to get eyes on your site you are wasting time and missing a huge opportunity for sales.

The Triple V post is just one type you should use. I’ve done some training on the other 3 type of posts you can use to generate leads and sales and position you as the go to person within your niche. You can check it out here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/a-5-minute-tutorial-on-facebook-posts-that-work/3-post-types-you-need-to-use

Hope this gives you the motivation to get out there and use social media for your benefit.

Are you using social media for leads❓

Do you have a preferred platform❓

How’s it going for you❓

Share with us your experiences and of course if you have questions drop them below and I will be happy to help you out.

Thanks much for this Heidi. I'm just starting off on business social media at least. I figured the reason why I wasn't getting anywhere near any engagement is because I wasn't the face of the business. I'm not all that photogenic but I've just got to get over that fear and start creating the video content that could really help.
I'll let you know how it goes. Hope you're doing well.
All the best.

Chris I am so unphotogenic it's not funny, honestly people don't care. They want to see you and it also builds your own authentic tribe. These are the people who resonate with you, your trials and successes.

Hello Heidi,

Thank you for your article, and for the perspective of the 3V.

For me, facebook is a waste of time. I did different tests and I noticed that if I post something about my business on my personal facebook page I can really have 200-300 comments and likes.

On the other hand, If I post on the business page, the interaction is very low. The people are saturated with the business side on facebook. But this is my personal opinion.

In conclusion, I think that other social media platforms are more advantageous for business.

Thank you once again for sharing.

Greetings.
Diana.

Diana if you are getting that sort of engagement on your personal profile why wouldn't you continue? That doesn't sound like a waste of time to me.

Hello Heidi,

First of all, because I want to keep the pages separate, personal and business. Secondly, as there have been a few cases, I would not want to get banned, and facebook to close my account because I use links on my personal page that redirect people off the platform. Facebook doesn't really like that.

Greetings.
Diana.

You are 100% correct about using links, FB do not take kindly to it, personally I don't use any in my posts. You can, so far, get away with it in the first comment, but I don't do that either.

By building your personal profile with valuable content, people will contact you in messenger and you can directed them from there with no risk of being thrown in FB jail.

For passive income I do however have links in my header, bio text and featured image which is working well and no FB jail for me after 6 months of having them there.

It's horses for courses and not everyone wishes to work on organic social media traffic. All good, just wanting to share what is working for me.

Hi Heidi,

Love your post great info Thanks.
For me, it's another one of those Oh I gotta do that and then move onto something else. I do have to plan to spend some time and effort into social media, I believe it works and It can work for me I must allocate some time.
Where does all the time go?
Have a great day
Thanks, Shane.

Get yourself a Daily Method of Operation Shane. I can't remember if I have blogged about that here or not, but there is a system of tasks that are needed to warm up the algorithm and contribute to generating engagement.

Once you understand these you can build a small list of tasks to work through each day (DMO). This saves you wasting time on activities that don't move the needle eg. watching cat videos 😂

Hey Heidi, you know my thoughts on the matter now.

Once a sceptic now a convert and looking forward to those warm contact numbers.

Of course organic SEO traffic is wonderfully, happily, tremendously marvelous but it does take a fair bit of time to get any traction.

Facebook can be organised quickly and profiles, stories and groups are all completely free to utilise as long as you do it properly and this, I believe, is where your trainings have come to the fore!😉

Mark

Yes organic SEO is always a hands down winner, I just feel I wasted 12 months waiting for that to kick in and I could have been generating sales much earlier.

You will have people flocking to your FB messenger very shortly Mark, of this I am certain.

Hahaha....that'd be nice👍🥂🥂

I love the Triple V idea! awesome.

When yo use social media in conjucntion with your regular blogp post and promote them well the signals aid your SEO efforts.

Personally I am not a fan of social media, unless it is somekind of passive social site like Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube and to an extent Twitter.

Something that "hangs there" and can be searchable or likely to be searched gives (for me) a better ROI for my effort than say facebook where you can lost in the newsfeed and a very much get your traffic now and not over a prolonged period of time (unless constantly active).

(I'm also bitchy regarding Social media as I have not quite worked it out in regards to business and traffic.

(14k organic..Vs...90 (ninety!) for other sources inc social media! uggh!).

I agree completely Derek a two-pronged approach is best, organic SEO for the long term and some sort of social media for the short term gains.

There is no question, it is a numbers game and 14k visitors to your site is not to be sneezed at, but in my experience neither is one warm lead you can speak to right then and there in messenger
