You know that heavy sinking feeling that sets in at about 4pm every Sunday when your brain starts to thinking about the Monday morning grind, the 9 - 5 you hate going too and the generally tedious week ahead?

I want to let you know it doesn’t need to be this way while you work towards the ultimate goal of a laptop lifestyle.🔥

Working a JOB as well as pursuing an online business can weigh heavily. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day ⏰, you start to resent your job even more because it takes time away from your business building and the tasks that once seemed ok are no longer acceptable to you.

I wanted to give you a few questions to ask yourself this Sunday afternoon when that gut-wrenching feeling starts to take hold.

What are you looking forward to this week?

Find the good in each week or day. While I always advocate for living in the now sometimes holding onto that shining light is all we have. Find something to look forward to.

Where can you add in some moments of peace, purpose or joy?

Make time for yourself. Yes yes I know we are all ridiculously busy but get up 20 minutes earlier and meditate or read or listen to music or just sit quietly with your dreams and intentions. Allow yourself time to just be.

If you could make a change towards the life you want, what would it be?

Know that even though things may look grim right now, you have the ultimate capacity to change. You can drive your life and not just let it happen to you. You are the master of your destiny and even one small change towards your goals is a step in the right direction.

Do you get the Sunday Afternoon Dreads❓

What do you do to overcome it❓

Maybe your tips and tricks can help others as the joy of this weekend wears off.

Sunday is always a day of rest for Wifey and I. Thing is, we define our own calendar, so Sunday might come on a Wednesday. At our stage in life, being flexible is important to us. She has her things she does, I have mine. WA is morphing into an "ours" and that works well for both.

Greg

That is super cool to have something that is for both of you, my other half is looking into an online shop so we will be working a bit together also soon

Wonderful. Was thinking along the lines of an online shop.

Both my wife and I get the Sunday blues, you are so right I think most people feel like this.
Some great advice, I must admit that since I have found WA, I always have something to look forward to, even if it is just answering questions or commenting on the community's posts.

One thing that I have started to so since I have been working from home is listening to training and Audible books while I work.
If something is said that I want to remember or refer to later, I stop and make notes so that I can go back to it in the evening and review it.

Best wishes and stay safe.

I only recently found audiobooks Gaz, aren't they brilliant! Being able to listen and learn on the go is great.

Fortunately I am not suffering from this Sunday discomfort. I love Monday to see my little patients and see all the progress they have made in their therapy. But it is good advice to put ourselves in perspective for the coming week. I will not hesitate to use your good advice.

Wonderful Ingrid, having a job is not always bad, some of us are lucky enough to do what we love

Hello Heidi,
While I don't get the Sunday afternoon blues...I do find that I don't sleep well at all the night before my work week starts...usually only an hour or so. I always thought it was due to me being neurotic about making sure I get to work on time...but maybe not?
Thanks for another great post.
Have a Great Day!

Oh wow 1 hr sleep even I can't function on that lol, I'm good with about 5 hours

Yeah, an hour or 2 is common for me on the night before the start of the work week.
On another note, I saw an ad for your FB program on Leadsleap today..pretty cool.
Have a Great Day!

Another great post Heidi. This is very relatable and the main reason I joined WA to begin with. I’ve set my goal for 5 years of having to work this job and that is one thing that makes it easier.

You always have to make time for yourself. For me it’s time in the gym, for my wife it’s going for a walk, find the think that relaxes you and force yourself to take a break and do it.

Thanks,
Tyler

So true Tyler, some times we do need to force ourselves to do what we know is good for us. Funny how sometimes it can feel like a chore, but you feel so much better for having done it
