Elated, Ecstatic, Euphoric, & Exhilarated! Why? I'm One Month In!

Last Update: September 15, 2019

Here! I want to share with you! Have a piece of cake! Grab your favorite drink to go along with your sweet piece of cake, have a seat, and read on to find out why I'm sitting here so excited!! Forgive me if I'm sounding too happy as you read this, but I believe we're entitled to a piece of cake now and then, no?

There are several reasons for my elevated level of happy this morning. I'd like to offer my reasons as encouragement for the newbies in WA. Let me explain. First of all, today marks my one month anniversary for going Premium. It has been a solid month of trials and errors, but because of it all, I am able to write of my small successes here.

Not once have I felt alone. Never on this journey have I felt unsupported. The community here is one I have longed for, and for which I will be forever indebted. I've written about the support I've received, and will continue to praise this community. Thank you for being a constant source of encouragement and inspiration.

In the past 30 days, I have gone from knowing nothing to learning something. Lots of somethings. It may not seem like a lot, but I'm happy about accomplishing these feats:

* 2 Websites up and getting a little traffic
* 37 published articles (33 indexed in Google so far)
* Indexed in Bing/Yahoo
* Created Opt-in email Form
* Have requested and received several comments
* Am a Certified WA Commenter
* Signed up for Amazon Associates (sold 1 item)
* Traffic and Views on both Twitter and Pinterest
* 8 WA blog posts

I'm sure I'm forgetting so much more, but that's the majority of it. I've been eagerly reading blog posts, learning from trainings and tutorials, and asking questions from my friends here at WA. What I'm learning is that there is much more to learn - and I'll likely never get through all the great awesomeness on this platform, but I'm committed to trying!

Things I haven't gotten my feet wet with yet:
* Google AdSense
* Purchasing my own domain/(s)
* PPC
* YouTube Videos
* Creating any video
* Automated Newsletters
* Composing a 'freebie'
* Signing up for more Affiliate Programs
* Black Friday marketing plan

But WAIT!

That's not all! I have to share something else. I don't know how this happened, but I want to share it. You see, I have taken to this desire of wanting to sincerely help people and welcome them to WA. I've been busy working on my websites as well as helping in the WA whenever I can. I'm a newbie, so I know I don't have much to offer at this point.

I started seeing my WA rank number change and I committed to myself that if I ever reached the top 1,000, I'd write about it here. Well, the first accomplishment was watching that number fall below 100,000. That made me excited. But then less than 10,000? WOW! I thought my progress couldn't get any better.

This week, I've been devoted to being a positive presence within WA. Do you know what I noticed when I woke up this morning? 444. Four Hundred Forty-Four. WHAT?! I have refreshed my browser several times, expecting that it happened in error.

Nope. It's legit! I can't even believe it! On month one, I made a 444 ranking in WA! Do you want to know the icing on this cake? I just received an email from WordPress saying I have a comment to moderate! I have traffic outside of WA and a new comment!

This CAN Be YOU

Do not be discouraged if you're not in my position. You see, I am giving all this credit to one word: COMMITMENT. I'm in the middle of all sorts of things these days, including moving to a new home, stopping my teaching job to home school our two kiddos, start 2 blogs/websites, and learning to live on one income, my husband's teaching salary. It's all being made possible by finding the time to dedicate to goals.

It has not been easy. I'm not here to tell you it's been a breeze. I just want to offer a nugget or two of encouragement to those who feel like this is just too much work. Also, this is a huge thank you (and frosting-filled piece of cake) to those of you who continually try to guide and support me in this journey. I wouldn't be here without your help and guidance.

Final Thoughts

I continue to be blessed by ever making the decision to become a premium member of WA. In all honesty, I never thought I'd be at this point. I've not made any WA sales, but I remain solid in my commitment to produce quality content. I know in time, I'll see the fruits of this labor.

How was your cake? Admittedly, I'm not much into cake, but today's piece was delicious! I may indulge and eat two pieces! Thanks for sharing with me - you deserve a whole 3-tier cake!

I'm wishing you all the best as we all embark on this journey. I'm looking forward to witnessing all your successes and sharing any of mine with you. Thank you for being you. I wish I could give you all a hug. Here's a virtual one! Group hug!!

Won't you please have a wonderful day?! I aim to be a source of encouragement around here. I hope you don't mind my optimism; I don't intend on taking it down a notch! At the end of the day, I want to establish a source of passive income, just like you. Can we do that together?

Three Cheers To Us All!
Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!

May all the world's blessings be YOURS,

~Heidi

Awesome progress so far Heidi!
If I could give you one piece of advice at this stage it would be to purchase your own domain and move your site onto it from siterubix. It will give you much more credibility and authority

Guess what, Dave?! I JUST purchased 2 domains and have moved my siterubix.com sites over! (I'm struggling, though, as each time I want to go to the new .com, I get privacy messages. I'm hoping it will resolve itself on its own.)

Thank you for giving me the push I needed to make this happen! I wanted to let you know I did it!!

Hope you have a great day!!

Excellent Heidi 😃
Sounds like you need to activate the SSL certificate on your site if you are getting privacy warnings.
Go to websites in left margin of WA dashboard.
Select view details for the site.
About halfway down should be an option called site SSL
Move the toggle to ON

Hope that helps
