What would we be without websites?
I just wrote this post on branded.me (immediate question: how can I manage the font size in this blog? - the following big letters are completely un-intended!)Well, one thing is sure: we would live like 20 years ago and have less work with taking care for the site.
The question is: why do we need websites? Everybody told me, already almost 20 years ago, that I needed a website. But why? Didn't my life work well without?
Then I found somebody to create a site for me, it lasted a year or so, nothing happened and the guy who created it was disappeared.
Then I had another site created, more like I wanted it and I expected people to like it and contact me for what I offered. - Silence.
Then I understood that I have to write more content, offer courses etc and someone created a new website for me for which I learned to add content myself. Wow! - I CAN DO THAT!. So I inserted a lot of text about my teachings, explained everything, and actually, one person found the site and booked a week of intensive voice development lessons with me. Great, I thought. But nothing else.
Then I understood that websites need to be different: they should talk about the possible client and the benefits and not about me and what I was able to do. And an expensive course told me what feature such a website needs to have, opt-in, e-commerce and what not (I had no idea what all that was and hired someone to do the site for me). A lot of money, a new system to learn to put content in - and nothing really happened.
The result: Three years of trial and error and frustration with virtual assistants, other money spent and always - nothing.
Up to that point having a website or not was almost the same - because nobody really told me what was important and how I needed to handle the site to be found.
CELEBRATION: now I have found a community where I can learn all that. I am totally excited and confident that in future, having a website, will make a difference. And if you can relate to my story then check out this: http://bit.ly/29JgIwM

Thank's for your post!! Heidi, at least you have a sales funnel for WA but, do you have one for your other offerings?? Without sales funnels, you are not going to earn any MONEY!!
Well, I am not yet thinking about sales. And I guess the sales funnel has to be created, somehow........
Heidi, when you decide to make money, just type sales funnels in the search box at the top of the page and read the articles!!
