I'm 2 months in - What have I accomplished so far?

Hi WA family!

What an amazing experience so far! I'm almost 2 months in since signing up for Wealthy Affiliate training and creating my website! It's hard to believe how fast the time goes.

So where am I at? What have I accomplished in this almost 2 months time you may wonder? What's really involved in all this?

Well let me tell you...

I'll give you a bit of a background on how much time I spend dedicated here at WA and my website. Now I do work full time, I have 2 children, a husband and a dog that also occupies my time so I do find it challenging focusing on the training and my website at times.

Honestly, I spend on average 3-5 hours in the evening 4-5 days a week with my laptop on my lap in front of the TV, all while my kids are constantly interrupting me (which I don't mind), such is life! Weekends I try to dedicate more time during the day around activities and keeping up with my household. Needless to say, I do this very part-time.

I would give nothing more than to be able to work on my website full time, because it could honestly be a full time job! I never really had any idea on how much time it would take to create posts! With the coming up with an idea for a post, looking for key words around the idea, research the content, writing the content in your own words from your research, then creating the design aspect of the post itself (images, etc.)...man! It takes a lot of time! I don't post as much as I would like at this point, I average about a post a week if I can (that's my goal anyways).

I also spend time on updating my Google + account (following and +1ing you fine people), adding new products here and there to my website, changing ads out from my different affiliates on my pages every week or so, tweeking design aspects of my site as I learn about different features through Word Press. It's a lot of work, not what I had envisioned, I'll be honest.

BUT, I love it!! Like I said, if I could quit my job tomorrow and do this, I would! And my hope is one day I will be able to.

So if you are reading this and you are wanting to sign up to Wealthy Affiliate because you see dollar signs, I hate to burst your bubble, but you will need to put in time and effort in order to see the cash. I still haven't made any money, but I'm hopeful I will one day!

So if you are getting discouraged, keep going! I know I have the odd day where I ask myself "What the heck am I doing!?", but I am passionate and dedicated to my new website, so I know I will carry on...I hope you all do the same!
