I've been researching sites for what feels like a month now and I can't find one that just seems to click with me. I tried ejunkie but I can't get past the 1999 looking website
I guess I should have clarified... I want the option of selling (or giving for free) digital files directly from my site with the use of a click through link or a simple shopping cart - a site that will host my files as well.
Ohhhh now I understand. You will probably want a solution that auto sends the purchased item. Not my area of expertise. I was recently looking for a free good shop solution, but your needs are different. Now that you clarified someone will probably point you to something great soon (:

Best is Amazon. You can proberly try Udemy too. Its a good place to sell online training courses.

I saw a few questions already posted but they were a few years old. I just wondered what everyone's favorite theme was now? :)
I am a bit late replying to this, but I have spent days trying to find a good theme. I started with twenty thirteen and liked it but then as I read more on WA I kept hearing people talking about themes being responsive (mobile friendly) are the way to go. So after many hours of searching I found the Accent theme. So far I really like it. But I am still quite new at this and perhaps down the road I will want to change it.
I found some of the themes complex and overwhelming. I didn't want to waste a bunch of time just trying to figure out how to make it look good for a starter site. I think some of these more complex themes could be good once you know what you are doing.
I hope you figured your theme out!
Tanya
I have started with twenty-ten + WP mobile plugin and am happy with that combo with what I've done do far. However a more responsive theme is to be recommended and I've recently used Iconic, which seems pretty good to me so far. Glyn
I'm glad you asked this question, Heather, so that I can get some ideas from others as well. I've always used Twenty-twleve and have been happy with it for the most part. I recently changed to a new version (can't even remember the name of it, but it's a 4.1 version of something) and I'm just not totally sure if I like it. (??) I like how it scrolls up and down but besides that...
Well, here's what it looks like if anyone wants to see and would like to use this same theme.

Thanks again, for inquiring.
I'm using GeneratePress because it has such flexible content options. You can pay some money to unlock different features but it doesn't cost much compared to some of the more expensive $100 themes.
My favourite theme is Responsive. It has a lot of good reviews, frequent updates and seems reliable. It's probably more of a Volvo than a Ferrari, but I have faith in it. I came across this training which seems relevant: Wordpress: Themes and the Appearance of Your Website All the best,
Brandon
You are welcome Skilly. Responsive also automatically resizes your site so it can be seen on any handheld device or tablet. That said, there are other themes which will also do the same thing.
All the best,
Brandon
Weaver II. they recently released Weaver Xtreme which I'm planning to switch over to.
It has a lot of options - probably a bit confusing for someone's first theme, before they get an idea of things. But there after - great!

There are so many and I think it depends what you want from it.
A good beginners theme I really like is Frontier, it's easy to set up.
For a more feminine theme, Sugar and Spice.
For lots of options/customizations then Tempera
For one site, I use Genesis framework with the Elsa child theme.
Hope this helps. :)
oh! I didn't know we could use child themes! {Can you tell I'm new?} LOL! Thanks for mentioning that... I'm off to find some how-to's. :D
Hi Heather! -
My favourite theme has got to - Twenty Eleven version 2.0 -- I must admit I liked version 1.0 even better!
In fact this is the only WordPress (WP) theme I have ever used! :)
