Domain Hoarding

My name is Heather and I have a problem. I love domains. Seriously love them.

Even before I knew how to build a website, or even how to make money on said sites, I've been buying domains. If it sounded good to me, I bought it. If I thought I could use it 'one day, I bought it. The only problem was, I had NO idea what I was doing.

Now, I have all these domains that honestly have no clear message. They're all from former phases of my life - the mommy life, the diy'er life, the religious life... and now I don't exactly know what to do with them - since my kids are grown and I'm not exactly religous anymore.

Have you ever been in this place, or have any advice on how to proceed? Should I still try to use them in some capacity - even if they aren't exactly 'keyword-loaded' domains? Or, perhaps I should try to sell them?

Here's an example of my domains:
big-hearted dot com(I thought was cute for a ministry. lol)
TheAtticAddict dot com (which is terribly hard to say with my southern accent.)
Tagga dot net (I just thought it was cool at the time).

I appreciate any and all help. Thanks so much! :)

It only takes ONE domain to be very successful online and I am the same way as you, I hoard a bunch of domains but they are going to just sit there. If you try to let every domain distract you then you are going to end up spinning your wheels versus creating an expertise in one niche (and a successful business).

Choose your niche, decide on the domain, and then move forward from there with your business build out process.

Thanks Kyle. :)

I like big-hearted dot com, someone could use it to promote a site for plus-size ladies fashion, or plus-size dating LOL, and TheAtticAddict dot com could be used to promote a site for swap meet or flea market junkies (like me), or antique collectors looking for estate sales across the country. I see some niches there.

Thank you for that! You give me hope that I can actually do something with these domains. :)

I am not expert on domains. But you must choose a domain reflects something that you going into. Depends on what to sell or offer to customers around the world. What message you going to transmit to others that catch attention. I repeat I am not the best person on this but this is my opinion. Even mine I consider not good that all. I did the best, I think lol. Good luck!!

Thank you! :)
