My Observation of the Comment Thread
I am very active on the Comment section under the Site Rubix tools. Of course, you all know that for every two comments you give out, you get one in return. Which is fine and I get good quality comments.
I have also tried the Comments Thread that I first discovered in the training (yes, it's the most recent one). I have a love-hate relationship with the Comments Thread. The directions are to give three comments and then post your request. Members also often say in their request, "leave me a comment and I will return the favor."
Well, today I decided to give the comment thread another try and see how many comments I got back. I left 14 comments on other member's requests and I received a total of 6 comments back so far.
I actually think I will stick to the Comment section under Site Rubix as I am guaranteed my 2-for-1 and the quality and engagement of the comments sometimes is better. I have had this issue with the comments thread in the past so I shied away from it. It takes a lot of effort to go out and read and leave comments only to receive nothing in return.
Anyway, I wanted to share my findings. I am not sure if others have found this to be true or not. I love that WA has a comment feature built-in! I try to take full advantage! And maybe it's just me that's having that issue. But still it's interesting...

I agree but sometimes people are lazy - I am more than willing to help any one who reads this as I have done this many time ok - you are for a comment and I will give you one and happy to because site comments are needed as goggle sees these as good to your site and live to eat them up !!!
Yes, I think being lazy might be part of it. I was hoping to give the benefit of the doubt that my other comments would roll in overnight (maybe a time zone issue?) but nope. No comments in over 16 hours.
And I made the mistake in the beginning before I realized how important comments were, to not actively seek them on all my new articles. So I have a ton of catching up to do.
I know what your talking about the give and take thread. Always feel free to send me a PM and I will leave a quality comment on any post you have.
I get a Like 85% of the time and a replied comment 70% of the time.
I have seen around the comments area quite a bit so keep up the great work.

I guess 70% isn't too bad... I still think maybe the organized section for comments is better.
and actually, I counted a comment by mistake on another article that I didn't post on that thread so it's really 5 out of 14. Not that it matters cause still...

I tend to go to the Site Rubix Comment section too, as you know what you are going to get. The others can be catch as catch can.
What I'm realizing it that the more I see other sites and the more I write the more I know what I want my site to be. I know there is the issue of ranking, but for me it's a way of see how others are putting themselves out there and how I can learn and improve.
I completely agree that it is beneficial to see what others are doing with their sites. There are more times than I can count I have seen something and thought that maybe I better research that and see what I missed haha.
It's all part of the growth!
I think I'm sticking to Site Rubix too. Better time spent.
