Hi all,
I was looking at a google search the other day for an affiliate marketing type search. I noticed that the 3rd result was for a WA blog post (rather than a blog pos

Yes, Hazel! That is how I got two of mine!

Jeff

It's good to hear from somebody who has got referrals in this way, Jeff.

Thanks for replying!

Thanks, Hazel! they were quite a surprise. You can look your own WA Blog post up on google! Just type the title of your post!

Typing the first couple of words in my Blog post from Sunday in google, you get this!

Wow-that's amazing!

Well done!
Hazel

I was quite surprised too, Hazel!

Jeff

You can also share other people's blog posts (or trainings) and gain the commission for the sale too, believe it or not. To do this, click the 'Affiliate' button at the top of the blog or training you want to share and use the link that pops up. The link will include your own affiliate ID for WA :)

Best, Shannon

Thanks for that Shannon and all the best to you too!

Ah I see that's good , I am Lula btw
Having a terrific day?

Hi Lula
Yes it is good to know isn't it?

Having a great day thanks!

Best of success to you.

Yup, sure would :)

Thanks, Dale!

Hi, yes it would. You don't need include your affiliate ID on the platform as WA would already know who is the creator of the blog post.

It is also against the WA rules to include your affiliate ID anywhere on the platform as that could be considered self promotion.

Great, that's good to know thanks!

You're welcome.

Hi Everybody. I have noticed an AIOSEO ranking out of 100 for each post in the wordpress back office. Does anybody know how accurate this is and whether it is worth adjusting p

Hi

A very good score is between 60 and 80. For best results, you should aim for 70 and above.. These are just guidelines, however it should not replace quality content however both can be achieved. It gives you a more in-depth analysis into your optimization efforts

Jay's live webinar

I work along with it as at this point any help just now is probably going to be good help. Im just learning so generaly find it usefull. It can be annoying. It will tell you things like your title is to short, so you fix it, then it says its to long, so you fix and back and forth and back and forth and lalalalalalala. It can also sometimes tell you titles are missing or you need external links etc and they are already there or you have already done what its asking. In most cases you just need to logout and back in before it has reset itself and can present you with an accurate report. All in all as a beginner I like it.

Yes, totally agree Graeme.

I just had a post where it said it had no title, images and external links when all three were included! It's caught up now so score has increase considerably.

But useful to look at the suggestions just in case I have missed something.

Thanks for replying Graeme and all the best,

Hazel

it's not really a ranking score for google - but guidance for current seo good practices....
you can ignore it or try to get the score above 70...but make sureyou keep your reader in mind first.....
a couple of months ago it wasn't present and no one worried about it...
have fun
phil

Thanks for that, Phil.

All my scores are over 70 so that's good. Do find the ideas for improving SEO at the bottom of the post useful. As you say some you can change - some you can't.

Thanks again
Hazel

Sorry, Phil - mixed yours and GeoffreyC1's replies up so some of my reply might not make sense :)

if you want to edit a reply then there is a little faint down arrow to the upper right after posting
this allows you to delete or edit your reply...
have fun
phil

Thank you!

It is all useful information, some you will be able to fix and others like title length you won't.

Hi Geoffrey

Thanks - I did wonder whether it was something to worry about but as you say some of the suggestions you can change, others you can't.

Best wishes for your future success
Hazel

Hi I have previously had a bootcamp website with the target audience being those with CFS. However, I found it difficult to write many articles that were specific to CFS suffer

It's important to keep adding articles and as we go through Bootcamp, Kyles has added lots of suggestions on what we can write about.

Thank you for that Yvonne. I'm working through the bootcamp at the moment so I will get to his suggestions.

Best Wishes
Hazel

cool

Hi Thanks for that Abie - I didn't realise that I would need to 300 to 400 articles before I saw any results - I've got a long way to go :)

Yes I am following the bootcamp training again as I realise that I have probably forgotten a lot since last time and that there will be changes.

I feel better about the articles as I probably only had about 50 on my last site and felt I was getting nowhere because nothing was happening. Obviously I just need to do more.

Thanks again

Hazel

Thanks for feedback Hazel, am sure you'll do great.

Hi, you would need write 300 to 400 articles before you can even scratch the surface because it is a lot harder and more competitive than you own niche.

Are you following up on the coursework?

Hi Everyone

I've just come across a new member whose language I find quite offensive. Is it possible to block this member so I do not have view their content again even o

I had someone block me in a story that's just too funny. First he asked me to review his site, then when I made recommendations (instead of just showering praise I guess), he said he had "never been spoken to that way by a woman." Seriously? I just had to laugh. Thought about reporting him to Kyle, but it will just be funnier to see his site fail.

This has happened to a few other members. I send a note to Kyle. There always a few rotten apples in every large group.
Sandy

Yes, thanks Sandy. I have reported it as spam and if I see anything else offensive from this person I will contact Kyle.

Hazel

I have also run across a few members who's comments I find to be offensive and disrespectful to other members or just rude in general. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but not at the expense of respect within the community. I report them as SPAM and I am certain to unfollow them.
As the seasoned members here have said, this does not happen often but with an influx of new members, sometimes these things happen :(

Amy

Thank you, Amy - yes reporting them as spam seems to be the best option.

Hazel

Thanks for bringing this up Hazel, we need to ensure everyone knows the outcome of using such language here. I see from the train below that you have now reported the member. This situation has to be resolved as you have done because it is not acceptable at all. I have to say that this is the first time in my 6 years here that I have seen this or the need to do it. Sorry you had to be the one it happened to. Try to have a great weekend.

Maybe you can unfollow them. I haven't run into anything like this before. This should be a place for professionalism, and no garbage like you are speaking about.

Danny

Thank you.

Thanks - I wasn't actually following them but this came up on my dashboard so was there for all on the platform to see.

I now reported them.

Hazel

You can always report their comments to you or comments on the platform as Spam.

If it's really a major concern you can report it to Kyle or Carson.

Wealthy affiliate is an anti Spam platform and there's no solicitation of other businesses on the platform so if you encounter that, please report it.

Oh yes and report every offensive comment!! That is why there is a report button.

Thank you, yes I have reported it now.

Hi Hazel. All you can do is unfollow them (if you are following), then you will at least not get any more email notifications of their posts. We are sure there is no way of blocking them from your dashboard. The only other thing you can do is report the post as spam. If the post really is offensive then others will likely do the same and the new member will either be warned or banned.
Colette and Philip

Yes thanks Colette and Philip.

I have now reported them and hopefully others will do the same.

Hazel

I don't know about blocking another member entirely - I've only blocked a member in private messages since I was being flooded with completely irrelevant messages that were wasting my time. I am not sure if this completely blocks you seeing their content though and I have seen this person in chat since....

But as for blocking another member through their profile I have not found a way. If you have had a conversation with the person in a private message there is little down arrow at the top of your conversation next to "mark unread" and there you can report and/ or block a member.

Of course if you have not had a conversation in private messages with this person it would not work.

Thank you Lynne, I will probably report them anyway as the language is inappropriate in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply,
Hazel

It is very important for all members to be respectful and speak nicely to others here. So inappropriate language does not have a place here.
