OK guys, I hope you are all having an awesome day ๐Ÿ˜€

I WAS, until I asked for feedback for my site and then got all flabbergasted. Totally. I've gotten tons of great feedback, which is good. But then I got one, and although I should've just brushed it off, I couldn't. I write like I talk, and I'm from Pittsburgh, and we talk funny. I know this. (But if I went to where you live, I'd think that you talked funny. That's just how it is for me.) But the best websites I have made, I've made by talking like myself. That's all I can do is to be me, or I wind up writing something that a 5year old can write better. So I've been corrected in a few ways over speech, grammar, keywords, etc. bunk....

So now, I am left in utter confusion, over keywords, of all things. And I didn't even know how to ask my question right in the classrooms. But I DID manage to get someone who actually got what I was thinking, more or less, and she did help.

But here it is in a nutshell. In Jaaxy, you type in one keyword. In this case, it was a keyword phrase, which is my URL name. It came up with a couple of great keywords. I KNOW that you pick one keyword. You use it in the title, 1st paragraph, a subtitle, and conclusion. (And however long it is, maybe throw one or two more in there.) **I have to say this -- I came from a time when 'article marketing' was not frowned upon, and there was no such thing as keyword stuffing, or link farms, or anything like that.** (I think this is what has me in a tailspin, because I REALLY don't want to screw this up. This is my baby, it's been in my head for years and it's finally happening๐Ÿ™‚)

BUT... here's the thing. When Jaaxy threw a few good words at me, I'm not sure to use them in the same post, or have different posts.

I know that you have your main keyword for one post.

I know that you are also supposed to put similar keywords in that post, or has that changed? I think it hasn't, but I'm not sure.

The other keywords are too much alike to make more posts, it wouldn't make sense. (example: my site has one 'main' page about 7 different illnesses. From each of those 7, I have one post for that specific keyword.)

I'm good about that. BUT... how can you write more than one post about the same keyword? and how would you even go about doing so, without screwing up the plan for your site? Or could you write a post and not have it show up in the categories, therefore not showing anywhere but for search engine rankings?

I hope at least some of this makes sense to someone. I've worked myself up into a tizzy, and my brain is toast. I actually sat down and researched all morning, I have good old-fashioned BOOKS covering the table, lol.

Sorry if I just confused the crap out of you, I had to get this out. It's been killing me, and the more I let it fester, the worse it's getting, and I am NOT giving up just because of a stupid word or two. ๐Ÿ˜–

PS. PLEASE do NOT tell me to look at training on it. I have. That's another reason I'm in this predicament.

Don't worry, Haze! Continue being yourself--you don't want to come off as fake either, IMHO! Keep going you're doing a GREAT job!

Jeff

Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜€
Now that I know I blew my keywords, I'm off to fix the posts, (I always wondered why my website never ranked for the words I wanted :( they'll never get ranked the way that they are. BUT I LEARNED how to do it! All excited again. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Have a great one!

A negative into a positive, Haze! Well done!

Jeff

Use those keywords and write that post, sounds like a quick indexed post to me, just do not make it to short and jam those keywords close together.

Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

You might want to consider that you are overthinking this and making it more complicated than it really is. You have a great topic to write about donโ€™t worry about all the keywords just make sure that your content makes sense and that the reader is well-informed about what you are trying to get across. Keep writing articles on the same topic or similar topics with a different angle to it and you will be fine. I hope this helps you.

I always tend to make mountains out of molehills. You're right. I'll just keep writing, it all definitely adds up quickly~

Thank you!

Thank you Haze, you will do great!

Hi Haze,
I think I understand your question. I had a similar question not too long ago. Only I'm a total newbie at this and this is my first website. When I searched Jaaxy, several possible keywords popped up that worked well JUST AS THE ORIGINAL KEYWORD DID.

I decided to try and use the ones that best fit the criteria I had in mind AND that fit the training. And I just wrote 1 post on that subject without worrying about whether or not I was unintentionally using other Jaaxy keywords in my prose.

Then I tried to move on to another idea rather than write a 2nd post about the same thing only using different keywords/keyword phrases.

Your website is about a certain subject, so your posts are all probably going to relate in some way or another anyway.

Does this help? Hope so. Best of luck!
Lynn

Yes, it does, Lynn. (Mostly, it helped me VERY MUCH to get me grounded again, knowing there is someone out there that knows more or less what I'm talking about.) ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks again~
