Non-Delivery of Emails

First may I apologize to members who have replied to questions I have asked and to which I have not responded.

This is due to non-delivery of emails from WA to my inbox. The last email I received was on 21Nov, since then I have not received a single one. This is due, I have been informed, to a problem with the SPF (Sender Policy Framework) records of Wealthy Affiliate.

I contacted support two weeks ago, and despite sending them as much information as I could that they asked for, they seem no nearer to resolving the issue. As a result I have not been able to ask, answer questions or interact with other members, and this has led to a rapidly escalating WA ranking. Although this is really only an indication of your activity within the community, it doesn't look good on my profile or encourage members to follow me.

Despite having just paid my annual membership fee, if this situation cannot be resolved I will, with sadness and a heavy heart, seriously consider cancelling my membership with WA.

As I am not receiving emails from WA, if any members wishes to contact me they can do so by PM or email me at su14tra@btinternet.com. Thank you,

Brian Shaw (Harrysastar2).

Hi Brian,

Sorry you're experiencing this difficulty. So am I. I have never had any of my inboxes work (never received a single email since they were recreated 2-3 weeks ago, though the sent-boxes do work. The problem is further that neither does the forwarding work for at least one of my addresses, meaning that I can receive neither the inbox-emails nor the forwarded emails. / I do have a question. What happened to the incoming emails over the weeks that you have never received? Are they archived somewhere in WA? Or bounced back, or just gone? Can't be good for business in any case. Good luck.

Anthony

You can check if you accidentally unsubscribe from WA.

Hi Sheikave, thanks for the feedback. No, I don't think so. Everything is working except the empty Inbox. The "Send" box, for example, is working fine. I've paid for a full year as a premium member.

Hi, Anthony, as far as I am aware, if your server has classed them as spam they will be blocked and placed in the blocked addresses box or deleted. Whether they are still in WA archives I didn't ask as I would have had hundreds over the previous month. Support may have the answer.

My problem was I was receiving emails from everyone but WA and my email provider said it was a problem with WA's SMTP settings. I solved the problem by opening a gmail account, which integrates with various email clients including gmail, purely for WA emails.

Wrong configuration of incoming and outgoing mail settings can also cause problems. Wishing you a happy Christmas and a peaceful and profitable New Year.

No, please don't leave Brian:(. You bring so much to the community. Hopefully, site support will get it resolved:)
Blessings:)
Suzi

Hi, Suzi, thanks you so much for replying to what may be my last contact with a WA member.

After four years of enjoying the camaraderie of the WA community, which is now virtually non-existent due to the inability of support to solve a problem with my emails, which as far as I am led to believe, is due wholly to Wealthy Affiliate.

I first believed it was just a glitch, as it had happened before due to an email wrongly being blocked as spam, which was resolved.
After numerous telephone calls and emails to British Telecom, who deliver my emails, they said they had tested everything their end and found no problems, and the fact that emails from other senders were being delivered, the problem lay with WA and a wrongly configured SPF.

I first contacted support on 28 Nov and explained what BT had told me and began sending them information they asked for as far as I could, with no progress forthcoming. I even contacted a company, MXToolbox, who sent me the following problems with WA's SPF:

Mail Server: mx:wealthyaffiliate.com
Pref Hostname IP Address TTL
10 mx00.1and1.com 74.208.5.3 60 min
11 mx01.1and1.com 74.208.5.21 60 min

X dmarc: wealthyaffiliate.com - 1 Tests Failed
Category Host Result
dmarc wealthyaffiliate.com DNS Record not found

spf wealthyaffiliate.com Too many included lookups (14)
spf wealthyaffiliate.com Void lookup limit of 2 exceeded (5)

dns wealthyaffiliate.com SOA Expire Value out of recommended range.

I forwarded this to support, along with as much information I could gather, but all I get in reply is: "This is being looked into, stand by". This after two weeks with no progress reports. They didn't even bother to reply to my last ticket.

If, and more likely at the moment, when, before I leave WA, may I thank you and all members for their long-distance friendship and help, and wish you all a happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

I'm so sorry, Brian:(. Have you addressed this issue with Kyle and Carson? They may be able to check into it further. Please do before you leave, my friend.
I just returned back to WA almost 2 weeks ago after a long absence, and read some emails regarding people transferring their emails to a personal account. I wonder if they were having he same problem??? If you do, please let me know how it goes.
I hope you have a blessed Christmas, as well:)
Blessings:)
Suzi

Hi, Suzi, thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I've tried to PM Kyle and Carson but just keep getting referred back to support. Not sure whether a personal email account would work as the problem seems to be with SPF of WA, but I'll give it a try. Keep you informed. Best wishes.

Hi Brian:). I just thought about you yesterday! Yes...let me know how it goes:). I'm thinking about switching mine over to a personal account, as well.
Blessings:)
Suzi

Hi, Suzi, just switched from BT.com to Gmail. Normal service has now been resumed. Thanks for your interest, much appreciated.

Have you decided yet whether or not to switch to a personal account?

So glad to hear, Brian:) I probably will switch when I have time. Did you have to link your WA email to gmail?
Suzi

Sorry...just realized that you had BT! Not sure how all of this works!

Hi, suzi, yes you do, but you need a google account first.

Hi, suzi, if you're thinking of switching to Gmail, let me know and I'll try to help you.

Thank you, Brian:)
