I Won't Give Up! - Life is Like Climbing Over the Big Black Bubble

For me, rock climbing is like a metaphor for Life. If you give up quickly in one thing, do you give up quickly in other things in life as well?

I accomplished an amazing climb this past weekend. It got me totally stoke and I wanted to share. It wasn't beautiful by any means. There was a big struggle just to get over the top of the pyramid but I finally made it. It was a great feeling. Toyota!!! (a reference to an old Toyota commercial along time ago. =) )

Just climbing over the pyramid and bubbles alone took me 2.5 minutes. I inched up it slowly and not letting go. I knew if I let go I would have to start all over again and I would run out of steam.

I did make it to the very top touching the top bubble. The climb reminded me of obstacles in life. There is success always around the corner. How bad do I want it?

Hi Ha,
That is the inspiration point, "How bad to I want it". "You can't fail until you quit".

Bill

Yes! How bad do I want it... When I give up, I know I don't want it bad enough.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Hello Ha, it is the obstacles in life that makes life rewarding. Without those challenges it would be very bland.

Yes!! Definitely make it more interesting and climatic. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.

Sometimes those obstacles appear as roadblocks blocking our way which causes us to change our direction, and at other times just a few upward steps that cause a minor inconvenience. I think we all struggle at times whether it is writers block or just the odd word you can't recall.

Derek

Very true. Struggles sometimes bring forth break throughs or aha moments. Thank you for stopping by and leave your thoughts.

You're welcome Ha

Derek

Well done Ha. That's a great achievement.

In some ways it's great to struggle as then we appreciate what we have achieved. If it all came easily we would not value it nearly as much. Onward and upward... bring on the obstacles!! :)

~Mark :)

Yes!!! Total appreciation. It felt good. Thank you for your thoughts.

Nice analogy!

I was going to place a bet on you reaching the top, I knew you were an odds on favourite - no competition!

Well done!

Ohhh my Lord! I don't believe what I just saw. Is that you?
What is worst for me is, I'm afraid of heights. You are one courageous gal Haroda!

You welcome young lady!

Awe...some! Your rock climbing metaphor has beaten all the rest.

I like that spirit. Keep pushing up, up up.

Cheers!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me your comments.

Awesome to connect you

Thank you!!! Same here.

Perfect analogy Ha!
You did an amazing climb.
How brave of you.

In daily life and business we also have to be brave and overcome obstacles. When we really want something we make the effort and we leave the comfort zone - even if it hurts.

Let's be brave and climb to new heights.
:-)

Well said, Pernilla. Being Courageous and keep climbing new heights.

Thank you for your thoughts.
