Time wasters not wanted
I was working on a post, reading the odd blog done by members while chipping away at the list of to do items on my desk.
Now I realize that men can't multitask like the other mob but I was doing a pretty good job.
This bought me to realize that Wealthy Affiliate is the home of busy people.
All of you writing and learning and putting in useful days that are designed to accomplish a goal.
First of all I am long past retirement age, a time when many think they should take it easy.
But taking it easy is wasting precious time. I get frustrated at the many diversions that come along to be what I might term useless time.
This hit home on the weekend when I was listening to a lady from South Australia. Kate Llewellyn. Kate is a recognized poet at the sprightly age of 84.
When Macca asked if she was still writing poems she responded by saying a new book was ready for release and the problems she had with COVID getting in her way. She could not manage Prose but everything else was going OK including another book.
On the counter side of this I see people doing cross words, binge watching TV, reading all day, playing computer games, smoking pot and so many ways of just destroying time.
Don't get me wrong I do a few of these myself but control the activity. I mostly have a book I am reading and do a bit of TV in the evening.however WA is my first love.
Kids on appliances wasting so much learning time on games when the application could easily be applied elsewhere.
I was just at the Doctors getting a couple of stitches out of my nose where a surgeon had done his best work, The guy next to me started to chat and we compared scars. When he left I chatted to his daughter. It turns out he is 94 years old, still rides a pushbike, plays golf.has a weekly barbque for the OLD people, attends church and helps out among other things he does.
This is maximizing time at a young age of 94
My point is that Wealthy Affiliate gives all of us a unique opportunity to achieve.
Writing is a therapy
Helping others is your social conscience
Affiliate marketing is the achievement goals
All blogs will leave a legacy
I am too busy to be idle like most of us in this unique factory of inspiration.

Thanks for sharing this inspiring post:) I try to be mindful of my time as much as possible, limit myself to a few hours of TV a day, and exercise most days. It's easy to waste time, and you can never get it back. Writing is certainly a therapy and I enjoy it more than I ever thought I would. Great to think it's also leaving a legacy for others. Wonderful to hear that a 94 year old is still riding a bike and also shows age is no barrier:) Kathy

Great post Pete, loving the anecdote of the 94 year old... This lockdown can bring out the very worst and the very best in us, take away the routine and all the things usually required of us for our 9-5 and all of a sudden life got so much tougher, or is it life got so much easier. The paradox of this lockdown. .......
I sometimes feel like I’m watching a scene from “Lord of the flies”
Someone said to me we will either come out lockdown a Hunk, a chunk or a drunk 😉
i did not put on weight, I did drink too much but I wasted a heap of time. We were lucky that I could exercise at any time so got out of the house often.
As I have worked from home for several years covid was a breeze in some ways.
I agree with you Peter.
Too many complain of not enough time yet spend hours on all those you mention. Like you, I would rather be here on WA, doing what I love.
