I wrote yesterday about Instagram Beta testing an online shopping button and a rapid change in Social media and its use.

The purpose of social media was to channel buyers to your website or store. They get paid to do this with advertising and marketing income and we enjoy a somewhat social convenience.

Now They are turning Social media into a shopping cart. The world is rapidly changing.

Instagram are Beta testing this with top 100 customers in The USA and hope to roll it out after the trial.
Now instead of looking at photos of cats it will be buy this Moggy now, press here.

I understand just today that YouTube will go the same way later in the year

Google say they are pushing online shopping through its products, Google express and Google shopping

Google also says 45% of global shoppers currently buy online and pick-up in-store, and they are testing a new buy-online, pick- up-in-store service through Shopping ads.

You need a Buy on line landing page but with Instagram and all Google products and YouTube heading this way the results are inevitable.

For that reason you need to be up to date with the products to benefit from the early start.

These changes are enormous to what we experience now.

It is not if you like it or otherwise, it is get out of the way of a speeding train because you will miss an opportunity.

My head is exploding.

Have to do some research on it then. Am yet to open an account with Instagram.

Interesting...for my current post to my new site, I am introducing a series of products with a little story with each. My site has about 40% of its posts with no affiliate links, so decided to remedy that a bit.

On the moment I am totally taking the advantages of Instagram and Pinterest and working on a few websites with basically a few articles and converting landing pages with on the moment Clickbank offers, but checking out AliExpress. With Tailwind can now even crosspost to Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram.

So for sure, there are a lot of new options to explore.

I have to agree with you Peter, we may not like it, but as you say as marketers we need to get a ticket and jump on the train.
