Lesson of the day.

I had a post on one of my old sites that was sonewhat relevant to what I am currently doing in my SACS challenge.

This will be easy said the lazy me.

Make a few changes add a couple of pics and a whole new blog.

That was my theory, and allowed about an hour to do it.

I found this harder and took longer than writing an original piece.

Rewriting takes time to say the same thing in a different way. We understand that you can't just copy and I had changed the keywords but hellfire did I get myself into a tangle.

No more he said, if you want to write then write and let the spirit run free and not contained within boundaries in which it is hard to escape.

In fact even the finished article needs changing as I am unhappy with the result.

Note to self.

Don't try copying old stuff ever again, it does not work.

While commenting on your latest post (100th) my eyes slid to st'bd and there was a title, "Plagerising your own post". I really agree with you - it is damn hard to do. I have been doing it because I wished to create a kind of magazine format with an assortment of shorter pieces taken from the originals.
Yours aye.

LOL, it is hard work but stick to it.

Hey Peter,
Thanks for the warning. I've found it to be true.

Yes it's funny how that works Peter. Changing it just seems to take longer.
Back to free writing.

Lily 😊

A free-flowing mind is better than limited by the four sides of your own blog, because it will take longer thinking how to say the same thing with the same effect as the original.

Good advice for us to heed.

Original assist Harley. Use "plagiarising"

Thanks for sharing, Peter. Never thought of doing that, but don't think I will, thanks to your candor!

Thanks for your honesty Peter. There really aren't any shortcuts in this business, however the more we write the quicker we get at it. This is an excellent lesson for anyone just starting at WA. Jim
