North Korea, America and as an exercise in marketing

I have just done a long blog on this topic because I see it as a classic sales pitch by a master manipulator.

Forget the combatants for the moment the sale is to de-nuke a somewhat rogue dictator that presented a threat to the whole world.

The first stage was the Know strategy. They must know you before they will buy.

Singapore was chosen as a neutral ground that displayed Luxury and Leisure with a lifestyle thrown in.

They met, they bonded and talked of a mutual like for each other. That bit done.

We then went to Vietnam as a testimonial of what can be achieved. Life with America and the world with a growing economy.

So we have Known, Like and some testimonials thrown in, we are kicking goals here.

This latest episode was even more interesting and it threw in another Golden rule of marketing.
When you have made the pitch, shut up! He who speaks first loses.

Trump walked, he laid out the rules and was not prepared to back down thus generating trust in knowing he wanted the full deal.
Even if it was Kim Jong that declined first, debated in some quarters, Trump still had the upper hand.

So we have now
KNOW
LIKE
TRUST
TESTIMONIALS
A WINNING STAND OFF

Plus a great platform for the next meeting.
Was all this planned or just a coincidence?
Believe me when I say it was orchestrated to the end degree by Trump.

Like him is not the question.
He did become excessively Wealthy and win the highest job and not all though luck

When the sale is concluded, and it will be, the results will benefit the whole world.

My point however is that world events mimic your daily realities.

I totally agree to that part that 'world events mimic your daily realities'.

In supposedly little things, we find the answers to great things that we find...even in marketing.

Have a nice day,
Sam.
