Google Voice search is growing
Are you prepared for Voice search, It might be talking to Siri or Contana or any of the others however it will be big in 2020, in fact, so big we need to be prepared.
The use of Mobile phones' in search results is gaining speed every single month will see more mobile usage.
With mobile phones' comes the voice search currently at about 20% but tipped to go to 50% of all searches in 2020 (Comscore)
When I did an analytic s search on my main site nearly 50% are currently Mobile or iPad.
That is a high figure and one I need to make plans for
So what does this mean to you?
I would suggest having your site mobile optimized is the first consideration, now with us here at WA that is generally done but you can google a mobile site check just to be sure
The greater use of long tail Keywords will be dominant with search terms. We don't ask for shoes, we want Nike freestyle runners available in Oahu at under $200.
This is the answer you will need to provide.
Branding will also be an issue with a known identity chosen by image.
It might be McDonalds in Downtown LA or Subway in West street Idaho but it will feature a brand search. Probably not hamburger in LA, However saying that there will be opportunities.
The Best hamburgers under $10 in Downtown LA delivered to you might pull an audience.
Or Cheap burgers at Pete's diner downtown LA.
Whatever the search it all comes down to lots of words.
Will this affect your website?
In fact voice searches have a benefit to your SEO
1) Faster site search
2) Over 70% of searches use Https for security
3) Domain Authority is increased greatly over page authority in a manual search
I have not read a lot of warnings in this regard but it is evident that a lot of sites will have a problem with falling visitors.
2020 is just around the corner so being prepared is taking on the changes to your benefit.

Thanks for this lesson Peter, interestingly when I checked my analytics 54.84% of traffic to my site was mobile users, 41.94% was desktop and 3.23% was laptop...
I checked my URL and the report said "This page is easy to use on a mobile device" so happy with that.
I think as the younger generation become "internet search" users than the "Voice Search" function will certainly skyrocket and we as online business owners, it's good to be aware of these changes.
