I remember I wondered about the same few days after I joined WA :)

Firstly, that is an age old document. People behaviour changes as they move and hence old keywords get extinct and new keywords keep get prominence. That means to keep up rankings, you need to add more relevant content periodically.

You are not missing anything. Use any key word from this doc and check what is its current value before writing any article with it. It is there to prove that still we can find golden keywords from Jaxxy. Today if Kyle gets another document, it would be whole lot different.
Hope this helps you my friend

Ohh... darn. Ok thank you very much.

My original niche (holistic medicine) is a topic I love and want to write about... but it is too broad and therefore there is too much competition.

For every niche I thin

Whatever you do, do not lose faith. You would be surprised what people would like to read about..... something you can provide with your current knowledge, life experience. The sky is the limit.... and for your sake, you are a member of WA. Where you can get lots of tips and ideas to build upon.

How about "why I hate holistic medicine" - a humorous article about all the obstacles you receive from traditional medicine, you know, reach out to those outside the holistic medicine community who might now be interested otherwise...

Don't be discouraged by the competition. Focus entirely on what you really want to do -
My niche is..... and write this down in a journal
make a list of things you want to add in your niche - it must from a longing a wish to help -then watch the magic unfold and the doubt disappears. Believe in yourself - you have come this far

Competition is actually good, it means the niche that interests you is a good idea Plus you can use your competition for ideas on articles and posts. Now I'm not saying copy them, just get inspiration and ideas.

Find a particular post on a topic that interests you, research it, find new angles. Then build upon it and put it in your own words.

I'm not sure why you see it as too broad, to me that means lots of avenues for fresh posts. Every sub topic within that niche is a new category within your site. Keep building it out, adding new ideas, new angles and new directions. All within your niche.

Keep your original niche and just use smarting marketing / branding. Always remember you are selling a lifestyle and a common idea. You want competition because it means that your margins for success are far larger. Everyone needs holistic medicine advice, but they struggle to find that info presented simply and personable. You still got this bro! Don't give up! Follow me. We are all in this together and I'm in the process of developing some great training to assist in marketing and branding to set your business apart from the rest. Talk to me, don't give up...we can get through this.

hi this might help: you need to break it down..

I agree with the others, look at a sub-niche and keep to what you love, it may take time but just keep learning and applying. If you start blogging you will find that you will naturally start to hone your ideas and it gives you a focus, then you can look at an ebook or similar that speaks to a specific niche of people, and start using social media to post your blogs.

First of all I would say, definitely don't lose hope in what you're doing! I know of many very successful people on the Internet and I've heard that they thought that the competition would be too great for the niche! However, many of these people have successively spent time growing their business and are now doing very well! It looks like you haven't been on wealthy affiliate for very long and does take time for a business to take off! I just want to encourage you to push forward in what you're doing as I believe there is everything you need to know on wealthy affiliate, to run a successful online business!

There is no need to lose hope. If holistic medicine is too broad and has too much competition, find a 'sub-niche'. You obviously have a lot of experience of illnesses and how people can be helped. I do not know whether you are working as a CNA in a place where holistic principles are used. If so, just find the kind of people or illnesses that have responded well to holistic treatment and make them into a subniche, e.g. 'holistic approach to....'

I am not sure that a forum is a good idea. Needs a lot of monitoring and isn't easy to monetize.

Hope this helps a bit.

great advice, and I love your username!
