Snow Day

The meteorologists are talking about a big snow day coming up - IN THE MIDDLE OF MARCH! I know this isn;t a first, but it's still kind of rare. I don't know about you, but I don't play in the snow much any more. If I can get out of shoveling, that's a plus, but I'm usually the one that ends up doing it. That's okay, too.

AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, though; there's also another aspect of a snow day... What is your attitude towards being snowed in? Fortunately, I don't have to be anywhere in particular. So, for me, I'm going to take advantage of my confinement and use it to catch up on my website, maybe write a new WA blog, comment on some others. Maybe review some other member's sites and possibly work on a new training video I'm in the process of editing. Catch up on some reading.

At some point I'll watch some television. Maybe stream a movie.

My dinner is already picked out and stashed in the fridge. See, I was doing a food demo today at Costco (I work for Club Demo Service a couple days a week) and I fell in love with the product I was demonstrating.

Man, people love those free samples, but they were going crazy over this stuff! It's by a company called Rana, and it's Grilled White Chicken & Portobello Mushroom Sauce Tagliatelle. It was literally flying off the shelf.

Knowing this Tuesday's forecast, I decided to buy a package on the way home after my shift. No matter what I do or do not accomplish when the storm comes in, I'm going to hunker down and have me a snow day filled with WA, Netflix and some hot delicious comfort food.

Stay warm!

I'm in Canada...never unusual here for a final blast in March. Mind you, where we are, we are a bit sheltered, so we will be lucky to see 10cm. No need to shovel, it will all melt the next day, that's how our March storms go. Now the East Coast, different story...I'd be crying if I lived there. Enjoy your snow day Hal!

Yes, hopefully, it will all melt doqn rather quickly. Sring is almost here. Orcso wevthought :-)

I used to live in the Drexel Hill area and know all about Philly snowstorms. Best wishes soldiering through!

I worked for companies doing demos--not unusual to see snow in March late winter/early spring it happens---just not every year---I remember it happening in Atlanta. The meteorologist got the weather report wrong because they didn't expect that kind of front in the south that late in the year---looked like a front you expect in January not March

I'm going to get outside like a Grizzly. I LOVE THE COLD...and I'm OLD brah.

I walk my dog a few times a day in aby kind of weather. I like the cold, too... truth be told.

Good luck in that storm, Hal. I used to be a truck driver and I was always getting caught up in bad weather. Can't say I miss the inconveniences, lol! But as long as you're not living in a truck, you can always make a different kind of a day out of it. What you have planned sounds good to me. Stay safe and stay warm.

Good for you Hal. You deserve it after hard day work.

Enjoy your day, Hal *s
