Deactivated Plugins

Last Update: December 12, 2017

I was wondering, when you have few Plugins and they're Deactivated would that cause any harm? Do they need to be removed? Does it matter?

Thank you All for your help

When they are deactivated they have no impact on your site. Keep them - remove them it's up to you.

Like it's said by others below; If you don't use them, delete them.
They are just in the way, and even if they are not active, they will be on the list for updates if updates become available. (The same goes for themes)

I as well do the same as @PatsyC, I leave a couple there so I don't forget what they are. But when I get ready to use them I delete and re-install them instead of activating. The risk I fear if there have been updates since I deactivated the plug in. A lot of times the updates are vulnerability reasons.

Unnecessary one's will slow it all down...
Have 5 editors...not necessary...pick the one suggested...Elementor...build, with WA...don't fix what ain't broke.
If, using WOO, why Paypal??
Find what works, for you!!...and take others, off!
I'm not touching the WA plug-ins, unless suggested...3 we removed...if not mistaken, from our site building training.

Hi Halim, any plugins you aren't using just delete them.
There is no point in having them there.

Unless it's one like WPClone for a backup or a child theme plugin that isn't needed on all the time. Both of these I have and are deactivated until I need them.
