How do I get rid of the Howdy on my website? It reads Howdy, Gwenelyn Cook.

I dislike the word 'Howdy' but we can't change it. 'Hello', 'G'Day' or 'Hi' would be much better. Grant me the patience to accept the things I cannot change. ~Marion

You can only see that because you are the site's admin. Your visitors don't see that.
