My first Productive week in a while.

After taking some time to settle into my new (temporary) digs in Colombia, I have managed to get something done on my web site. Here, with every one watching everyone else, especially gringos, this COVID -19 cannot become history quickly enough for me.

I did not get as much as I would like to have got done, ( do we ever ? ), but reasonably happy with 4 published posts (2 on medium) two on my WA site which is really one because I had to trash one.

Plus, today I revisited some older posts to see where I could improve the SEO. Since December my average Google ranking has fallen from 42 to 56 due to my inactivity.

I have been to Rakuten and discontinued some links to business's I never use. I also removed links from my site, of business's who have discontinued their association with Rakuten.

Since Christmas there have been a few, so if you have any merchants on Rakuten or CJ or AWIN, etc., check that they are still current, not all of them will inform you.

This also meant trashing a page. I hate wasted effrort, one of the pitfalls of affiliate marketing I guess, I want to move away from those anyway.

I am still getting pins saved, but it is weeks since I actually did much on the Pinterest site.

When I do a recheck of my SEO. I open some pages by Neil Patel I have bookmarked, and read through them. Rank Math, which is the SEO plugin I use, also has some great articles on keywords and optimisatng for SEO.

Sometimes there is a word, a tag or a sentence / headline, that can make all the difference to an SEO score. It is not some thing I dwell on if I am on the site consistently, but after a period of inactivity, it is like meeting up with an old friend. You tell the stories a little differently.

My site is not too bad really, over all SEO score of 84, average word count of 2234. a few warnings, nothing I can't fix.

Rank Math have a face book group, a few weeks ago I saw some one called Jay (whose profile pic. looked exactly like the guy on Magi Studios), answer a question in a thread.. Smiled to myself. The guy is every where.

I have had another domain sitiing around and started mapping it out yesterday. I will run my own product on this one.
