Are there any restrictions at all pertaining to posting a YouTube video on my site? If the owner of the video is selling the same product, wouldn't I need to get his or her per
There is no restriction to post the others' YouTube videos as long as you can embed the code from the video. That's all. :)
If 'share; is available, just use. Nothing else is necessary to do. You are doing favor to the author.
You want to be sure that it says "share" underneath the YouTube video. It is also a good idea to give credit to the original owner when you put it on your site as well.
If you can get the embed code for the video, then there are no restrictions on embedding the video on your site. Anyone who wants to restrict use of their videos can disable, or at least falg, that they'd prefer that their videos weren't embedded elsewhere. What you can do is add an attribution link back to the original video on YouTube.
Some videos will have links, watermarks and other calls to action embedded in them (some with Adsense ads too). You need to pick a video that's not going to drive traffic away from your site to a site advertised in the video.
