Shortcuts; Good or Bad?

At the moment, I’m on the road traveling to a destination about 13 hours away (my wife is driving, lol). Traffic started getting a little backed up and she started asking me to look up some alternate routes to maybe beat the traffic. A shortcut so to speak. Sometimes, a shortcut is good and it serves the purpose However, I reminded her of our last trip where the shortcut ended up being an extra half hour and had us going down a mud road and crossing a creek (no bridge) in the back hills of Tennessee.

So it is with this online business. Everyone is always searching for a shortcut for success And as in traveling, there are good shortcuts and there are bad ones.

One form of a good shortcut is reading books teaching the field your interested in. Another is going through a course that will help you avoid some of the wrong moves in your biz.

A bad shortcut would be regurgitating affiliate links over and over in various platforms like Facebook and Twitter. I know you’re thinking the sooner they click on these links the faster I’ll make money. This is actually as far from reality as you can get. Instead, you’ll be alienating your public and you’ll be perceived as a scammer and pretty much ignored.

What you basically want to do first is build trust and be liked. To do this, you need to provide value, help and support to others. ( and don’t even say it...yes, there are plenty of people out there that are a couple of steps behind you). And, there is really no shortcut in doing that except taking massive action.

In closing, the number one shortcut in this business, in my opinion, is finding a mentor or at least a coach. This will save you lots of time, and believe it or not, in the long run, money.

So, if looking for a shortcut in your online business, be sure and choose the good shortcuts and not the bad ones!

Hi. Grant. As you say, shortcuts can be good or bad. Technically speaking plugins are a form of shortcuts. Some are great and others aren't. Jim

I prefer to do all the training rather than take shortcuts Grant.

Hi, Grant.
Paul here. I trust you are well.

The latest shortcut I take is from the bus stop to my home through a grassy knoll. It saves me about 7 minutes.

I try not to use shortcuts in the training online and let my linking do the talking for me. I understand what you mean about being careful with shortcuts through your post.

Thank you for sharing.

More importantly, you made a great side note about publishing yourself on the 'Follow Me On" our profile pages here.

All the best.
