Comments, Feedback and Constructive Criticisim

I saw a comment in a thread earlier and it made me think that this may be, no, it is new to a lot of folks here. Some may not know the best way to go about things such as leaving comments, feedback and criticism. I'll try to enlighten those that are unsure.

We Love Comments

Of course, we all want comments left on our websites, and according to the lessons, if followed like intended, we are to post our links in the discussion threads so we can leave comments to each other on each other's websites. So, if I leave a comment on your site, you reciprocate and leave one on mine. We all help each other get some action on our websites which is what I like about WA. The support we all give to each other.

Feedback, Criticisms

So, the comment you leave on the website should be one that maybe brings out a good point, or a question that will cause engagement. When you leave a comment, DO NOT leave suggestions, or constructive criticism on the website. This you should leave here in the threads where you clicked on the members link. Everyone welcomes suggestions, or constructive criticisms and any kind of feedback about their sites so we can improve on them. But, again, do this in the thread here at WA and not on their website. You wouldn't want visitors coming to your website and seeing all kinds of suggestions to improve it or what you're doing wrong. This takes away your credibility. So, no, don't do that.

SiteComments and SiteFeedback

Also, another great way for commenting or leaving feedback is at your SiteRubix page. Click on the blue SiteRubix tab like you're going to your SiteManager and click on SiteComments. This will take you to the page where you can Request Comments or Offer Comments. This is where the give and take comes in. You need to Offer Comments first and you'll get a credit for each comment you are approved for. Then you can use your credits to request comments.

Also, you have the same option for getting feedback about your website. Use the same SiteRubix tab and click on SiteFeedback. This takes you to the page that lets you Request Feedback or Offer Feedback. The same thing goes here. You offer feedback first to earn credits, then you can use these credits to request feedback. The system works very well and everyone helps each other.

In summary, the main points I'm trying to relay is the following:

(1) Leave comments on the websites that brings out a good point or a question to encourage engagement.
(2) Leave feedback and criticism about their sites here on the threads at WA.

Follow these two simple rules and everyone will benefit. Feel free to offer any other thoughts or correct me in any areas that you may think I'm wrong or maybe I have misunderstood. (After all, this is not my website, this is WA). ;-)

Happy blogging!
