Hello WA'ers, Any thoughts would be a help. I've been stuck and reluctant to move forward because I cant really see how my niche (area of interest) could be monetised. I guess
Hi Graeme
This part is what caught my eye "to effectively de-escalate aggressive behaviours in others" -- thus not only for health professionals.
Mostly one would think of woman who are in abusive relationships and who would benefit from knowing how to handle people who has aggressive behaviors.
I was surprised the other day to learn that men are getting abused as well and that it is just as big a niche.
I'm sure you can adapt your current training fairly easily to accommodate these too.
Wishing you all of the very best!

Thanks Sharlee,
Choccie ice-cream is my fav too!
I guess I've been in the clinical teaching setting so long I have forgotten to look outside. The domestic violence area is certainly not restricted to either gender and yes people could do with some helpful info in that area. Thanks for your input. I'm feeling more confident due to all of the help kindly given by you all.
Hi Graeme
LOL - this WA-family sure loves their ice cream and chocolate is the run-away favorite by far too! ;-)
Yes, that is what is so awesome about WA, isn't it? It is so amazing that everybody adds a little bit of wisdom to the pot and before long you've got a lovely stew.
I was so surprised by Jim's (JKulk1) suggestion of the Yoga and natural products, since there are so many products in this niche... meditation, relaxing music...
Wishing you all of the very best and much success!

Along with the other good advice you have been given - you could advertise live workshops with date /venue and price
Just a thought

Thanks Richard, thats another idea too. i'm starting to feel much better around my niche. Thank you for your input, much appreciated.
Graeme
I'd say it's a great niche for e-books etc., Maybe you could look at natural products that at least help calm people down. Or sell Yoga type courses. Really anything to do with reducing aggressive behaviours in people and making these resources available to the professionals.
Thanks Jim,
Yes i agree about the ebooks but I'd never thought about the other stuff, natural products etc.you mentioned so thank you and for not saying it would be a dead-end niche. Its great to be able to have other peoples opinions at this early stage. Appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Regards,
Graeme
Personally, I like the niche. It is very targeted so writing won't be too much of an issue.
Do you have your own product you could promote? I think this would be my route.
Are there products online that your could review on the topic?
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with this.
Jackie
Thanks Jackie, I guess I just needed someone other than me to say yeh! it should be a good way to go as far as a niche. I don't presently have my own product but it would be doable. As for other products already online ...they would mainly be training courses if anything.
Any way food for thought and thanks for taking the time to answer.
Regards,
Graeme

one way to monetise it down the line, would be to make your own product. Platforms you can try to do this are udemy.com
maybe it would be possible for you to make a membership site later and have content which people would have to pay for
Thank you Catherine, it does seem as though it will be up to me to create as there doesn't appear to be much currently available.
