There can be times when it may interfere with a function of your theme or a plugin. I ran into it when using extreme on one of my sites. Accelerated didn't have the same issue. That's why they give you the choice...in rare cases it can effect functionality.

I agree with smartketeer, the more narrow the better. Even if you promote volleyball ankle braces initially, you're not limited to always promote only volleyball ankle braces.
So don't worry about running out of products to promote. You can slowly expand into other related volleyball products as your site grows.
