Advice on getting setup in best niche in fashion & jewelry?

Yes it is possible, however, if you want to do this to double your exposure be weary of the fact that many have tried this in the past and Google has a way of finding out. You may be penalized by being removed from indexing/ranking if Google suspects your motives. Algorithms are changing all the time to keep the search engines working well.

I don't recall finding a REALLY good tool for narrowing down my niche. Please help me with this?
Google and a keyword tool. If you already have a niche in mind, you can narrow it down by accessories and gender. If it's soccer gear, you can narrow it down to men's soccer gear or women's soccer gear.
Just remember that it has to be a niche people are interested in and you are passionate about.
So, I used WA's Keyword Tool, and I know this sounds silly, but I can't remember exactly how to use it. Help? Just tell me what the actual column headers mean? I'm assuming a LOW competition score is a GOOD thang, and vice-versa.What's the DIG column all about? Am I correct in thinking that you want to get the highest possible searches/traffic with the lowest Comp Score, and highest possible Article & PPC.
The monthly Searches should be above 50 and the Competition below 300. Article Power, recommended if 8 or above.
PPC is similar to Article Power. You would take it into consideration when using paid advertising, so PPC 8 or above might be worth considering.
Once you find a keyword that fits the above criteria, you can use Dig to start another new search based on that new keyword and you might get even better results.
The main point to remember is that your keyword must be highly relevant. So even if the stats indicate higher numbers on a certain keyword, if it is not as relevant as a somewhat lower score, it is recommended to use the most relevant keywords..

I'm trying to get the most experienced advice for the fundamental decisions I need to make re: my niche, and website.
Thanks for that response, Robt. I'm trying to deal with my ADHD, which makes me want to jump here, and there, instead of plodding along methodically. So, I'm looking at the OEP, and I'm not sure I'm understanding, but does that require that I be a Premium Member. I'm just trying to vfy so I know what heading corresponds to what heading.
Usually the top 50.
You will always see the year they joined so this is a good enough benchmark.
If you click on your Rank Button at the top of your screen you should see a list from Ambassadors downwards.
Although being an ambassador doesn't mean you have been here a long time I have been a member since 2014 and been an ambassador 4 times.
