Facebook not too bad!
Facebook is not too bad to get traffic.
I am still new to WA. Only 3 months and my page is not really on the first page on Google yet. But since I already have an account on Facebook and joined a few groups with my interest (Colloidal Silver) and that is my niche here on WA. So I was thinking why not try my page (contents) on Facebook tills I get my page ranked on Google.
In the groups there are always people who has questions on what I have put in my contents. So why not put your page (contents) when people ask. I tested this and this is the result according to Google Analystic.
So my conclusion is, if we should use Facebook to get traffic to our pages we should join groups that have a similar interest as the niche we are working on, The fact is that people also give comments on the niche page and I understand that is something that Google likes. So could this be a way to get Google to rank your page faster? I am not sure but I will continue to test.

Google does like comments on the niche page and yes I believe it will help with your ranking. Liking comments is WA helps your ranking as well. And also leaving comments of blogs helps.
Creating traffic in Google, Yahoo, Bing is the goal but you are right we have other sources of creating more audiences for the purpose of someone among the audience will buy something on your site to monetize the traffic. FB, Twitter, Instagram, Mailing list and other platforms can do the same. Anyway, yes, itis a good thing to do.
