The Quality of Outsourcing Articles
I'm trying to increase the volume of content to my website so thought I would outsource an article with the keyword "Image Optimisation".
Having tried a few Outsourcing companies without much luck, this one really put the top hat on it.
Would love to hear your comments.

I think that no matter if you outsource OR have someone else in-house writing content for you, it is wise to edit it prior to publishing. I do this for many reasons...
(1) It allows me to add my personal touch and style to the content.
(2) I can make sure the keywords are used and included naturally in the right places.
(3) I can build on the content and maybe include other supporting content such as a video or image...
(4) I can check to see that the tags are entered and fit with the subject of the post.
(5) I can check for grammar and spelling errors.
These are quick checks and normally it does not take me a long period of time.
It brings up the question of why even outsource if you have to go through all that...
For me, there are too many websites to try and post on a regular basis - I simply have to use in-house brains to get more done in the same amount of time.
This brings up the question of the best way to set this up. You can outsource as you have done, or hire people on a full-time basis, or do what I have done...
I have independent contractor agreements in place, and the people who work for me on a full-time basis agree that they will only work for us, not 10 others looking for content.
It saves us money because we are not paying taxes, retirement or health benefits, vacation, sick pay, etc. yet we get a full-time team member for our operations.
They get to know what we need as they become familiar with our business, and their deliverables get better and better over time. There is also a non-compete clause (although likely unenforceable?)...
I know this is not directly addressing your question, rather it is taking a look at the options for you to get such content created using various options and solutions...
Long-term, you can use lots of tools or services to get more done in the same amount of time as your business grows. This is a good one to look at (outsourcing content creation)...Figuring out how best to do it will also mean you get the most bang for your buck!
Cheers!

Have to agree with you Dave and I did attempt to edit it but just didn't know where to start. As you suggest I may just have written it my self and be done with it.
I'll echo what Dave said. Even the best written material is going to need to be edited a little before publishing it and for the reasons Dave mentions.
My goal with outsourcing the material is to get good content and right keyword density and usage. I don't have the outsourcers do some on-age SEO aspects like meta tags or links.
It helps when using a new outside writer to provide a rough template of what you're expecting that they can use as a guide which will save having to do a lot of editing revisions and also makes it much clearer for the hired hand to grasp your expectations instead of "hey, give me a great 1000 word article" Makes it streamlined for also using that same author again and again, which is ideal.
Try a few outsourced writers until you find a winner. Don't be afraid to use several different sources as there are plenty. Fiverr has some good ones(they won't be $5 though and definitely read the current reviews). Upwork is cheap and the quality can be pretty good. onlinejobs in the Philippines. Definitely use Copyscape on anything before you pay.
Sometimes when you have writer's block on some subject, paying an outsourcer for the basic material can you get you rolling and you can then edit it to exactly what you're looking for.
Yes, but just quickly as I'm in my hectic morning routine. I will reread later in the day. Is there a part I should focus on?
Well it's just my opinion that the whole article is totally substandard in the way it is written and the grammar, ok I know I can edit it but to be honest I wouldn't know where to start.

I looked at your website. I liked the look of it at the top. As I went down the paragraph margins were getting thinner and thinner. They became so thin there was only one word per line. It may be my browser???
I have not used Outsourcing companies.
