Staying afloat- staying grateful.

At the moment Im feeling overwhelmed. Never have I been this broke. Never this challenged. All I can do right now is stay afloat.

To be truly grateful I need to dig deep, right down to the basics. Yes I can see; yes I can hear; yes I can speak.

Yes I am truly grateful for that.

There are thousands of these little things to be grateful for and I am. Actually they're not little, but basic. Without them I could not live. So I should be much more grateful.

I'm very grateful for the love that surrounds me. Having a wonderful wife, who loves me, merits much gratitude. My kids love me too, for some reason, and my horse loves me.

However this wonderful WA family, always so supportive and caring, is what makes me most grateful, at this point in time.

Yes...focusing on our gratitude carries us through challenging times.
Debbie

Very true Debbie. I hope the hard times will also make me a better and kinder person.

Hi Goran
Hold on to that inspiration and gratitude. It holds us through our trying times. Here's hoping this start looking up for you soon.

Randi

Thanks Randi. I surely will.

You have the right attitude Goran and that alone is commendable and will get you though this rough period. Rooting for you friend. -Mark

Thank you friend Mark and likewise.

Wow -- you have a horse? That's awesome!

I'm just turning the corner myself with the "overwhelmed" stuff... really pushing myself hard this month.

After that...

Well, I won't quit, but like you, my friend, I'm beyond broke and living off the "kindness of strangers" and family.

I'll need to find other work in April if I don't see a financial turn-around soon enough, but it'll at least be in a more manageable place for me here at WA after completing my goals in March.

On way or another, it's onward and upward (even if it means a delay for the "good life").

Keep counting those blessings -- you've got some great ones!

Thanks Ingo. Yes I'm counting my countless blessings indeed! Sorry to hear you too are beyond broke. Wishing you a speedy increase in your income and may your troubles soon be in the past my friend.

Yes having a horse is awesome but I'm only able to keep due to the kindness of my daughter Mimmi who keeps her fed and clothed lol.

Just remember that your daughter's kindness came from YOU, my friend. That's a nice legacy to have over a financial one!

Maybe you'll soon have both, eh? Maybe we both will.

Hang in there, as will I. Thanx for the response.

Thanks for your kind words of wisdom Ingo.

Goran I hope things get better. I presume things were better before as you still own a horse.

Your gratitude is the way forward. I can’t wait to hear more of a success journey!! Financial success that is, you are already success!

Good luck Mate!

Wayne

Thanks Wayne! Yes I'm confident things will get better eventually. Normally we shouldn't have a big problem. It's just that hospital bills for my mom in law is scraping us to the bone right now.

We’re having some problems with my mom, she’s 73 tomorrow but struggling on many levels, it breaks my heart. She’s known a lot of hardship but a good heart. What to do!

Wish you all the best as ever Goran.

Wayne

So sorry to hear that Wayne! Not knowing what kind of problems your mom is experiencing I can't discuss it. If the issues are of a sensitive nature feel free to pm me. Thanks again for the good wishes Wayne.

Thanks Goran

Just a number of elderly Health issues. It reinforces to me what you say about gratitude. How we should be thankful for our time here on earth because time passes quickly.

I’m presently travelling the south of Thailand towards the borders of Malaysia. Test the concept of setting up an online business on the road.

Appreciate your reply Goran. Catch up again.

Wayne

OK Wayne. Well age creeps up on us all, so yeah we need to make good use of our fleeting time on planet earth. Enjoy your trip Wayne and take care!

Thanks Goran

Wayne

Like I told you a week or two ago, you're in my prayers, Goran.

I'm confident that everything is going to be better. You're on the right track. Being grateful for what you are and what you have (family and friends included) is a really important step.

For sure it's not easy, but you can do it. Count on us.

Thanks Elaine! Yes I can and will do it. Just need to blow off some steam now and again.

Shoo Goran. I've been there. Overwhelmed. Broke. In debt to the hilt. Its not a nice place to be in. Yet, just like you, I found peace, joy and such gratitude in that moment. I discovered what's truly important. What matters.
I learnt that relying on the help of loved ones for a time was not the monster I had made it out to be in my mind. I learned to let go of my foolish pride.
And they were so grateful to me for allowing them to rescue me for a while. In the long road back I learned who I could lean on in the lean times.
And what value I had in this world once everything of monetary value had slipped thorough my fingers. Interesting lessons. Interesting times.
I found that being grateful for all that you have, all that you are and all you have accomplished are some of the most important keys to finding the way back.

Glad you're out of it Lauren and happy to know you were gracefully offered the help you needed. Yes gratitude is very important to grow as a human being. Patience too and knowing that there's a purpose to every trial. Interesting times indeed.

Wishing you all the very best as you turn your boat around, Goran.

Thanks much Lauren!

That’s great. I am going outside to hug my horses soon. What’s your horses name.
Trevor

Her name is Frenja, an Icelandic.
