I Need More Vacation Time!

Here I am, back from a Celebrity Cruise in the Caribbean...had a great time!

Except...yes there is an except but first, I would like to say that the ship, the staff and all the cruise services were exceptional, 10+ all the way!!! I'm not trying to sell you a cruise here, just want to be sure you understand the "except" part is not due to the cruise itself.

The "except" part is after the cruise, the coming home part. I usually don't have that much difficulty jumping back into the saddle and get back to work, but this time, it was quite a bit harder.

At first, I was trying to figure it out. Why am I dragging my feet?

So I started to break it down.

1-yes I did catch one of those vacation colds, lung infections that just drains the energy right out of me. My wife would probably call it "A man Cold", but she has it too, and she is actually back to bed now as I am writing this...so Ha! See not so easy having this man cold thing. LOL. So being ill doesn't help.

2-Prior to my vacation I made arrangements with my boss that I would go into the office to train a new employee on my return. So that presented another challenge for me, having to get up earlier and commute to work for 2 days, on days that we had winter storm watch, after our first day of Spring just went by...Blah!

3-Loss of 1 hour of sleep. Daylight savings time kicked in during our vacation. While on our vacation made no difference as we can sleep or get up whenever we felt like it. Now we were back on land, back to reality we had to adjust to the new time.

4-Came back to some usual family dynamic stuff. Nothing new but still adds to an already growing list.

So these may seem like some pretty trivial complaints, but when you feel sleep deprived, battling a lung infection and having to change work routine it all accumulates.

Today is probably one of the first days that I am starting to feel like I am getting some energy back. I actually feel I can start focusing on my websites and my WA family.

I figured I would start writing this blog to shake off the self-pity and get the ball rolling. i really need to get going on writing new content.

I checked GA and my site health here on WA and noticed that my rankings have dropped. So everything that Kyle, Carson and Jay teach us here is true, we need to keep n top of our sites and continuously add content, keeping our sites fresh and relevant.

Happy writing everyone!

Paul
