Who Said Posting On Facebook Groups is Dead?

For prim marketers, like most WA members, posting on Facebook groups is a "no, no". To them, it's like wasting time and spamming and should be avoided.

And not only in WA, but also in other online training groups where being salesy is highly discouraged, posting on groups is the last on a person's "to do" list.

I even saw one friend (not a WA member) recently posted on Facebook announcing that she's seeing less and less posts via groups, a hint that a new algo was implemented, that users who are fond of posting on groups their money making opportunities are being hidden (including their posts) by Facebook so friends won't see them.

I was about to believe the story when suddenly, I encountered several of these in my own news feed...

If my friend's story is true, then why I still see posts like this?

Sometimes, I get a clue that people sometimes are exaggerating. Or, maybe they're announcing for the purpose of frightening their spammy friends, so they will post less and less spammy posts.

Before you make a quick conclusion, wouldn't it be great to keep an open mind first and listen further?

Yeah, I know. WA is a land of the experts, especially in making sites rank high in the engines.

But being a neutral person with friends coming from WA, and on the other side I have friends in the most spammy and scammy groups on Earth who until now are raking thousands of dollars a week, I have the opportunity to see both sides.

I can take the good, and drop the bad.

In one of the elite groups in online marketing, there was a recent webinar (available to paid members of their site only), their recent topic was, "How to get good results posting on Facebook groups".

So, while overly primmed marketers from here yell "yuck" on the strategy of posting on groups, on the other side of the world, did you know that there are folks who are raking in big money by being humble and going down to that ground level implementing that lowly strategy?

Keep an open-mind, or starve? You choose.

That forced me to bring down my wall for a moment and tried to listen to these "not primmed marketers", how are they doing that thing.

I remember, in one of the discussions here, I suggested to a fellow, that while waiting for his site to get ranked in the engines, why not post on social media for traffic?

Oftentimes, it takes time for a post to get ranked and get traffic.

My point is, even if we have concluded that posting your money making opportunities (including WA Affiliate Bootcamp) in Facebook group should not be put on the first of priorities, it would be good if you can add it to your marketing mix.

What I mean is, don't leave money on the table.

After you're done with optimizing your blog posts, after you have set up your PPC campaign, or your solo ad campaign, or your Facebook ad campaign, then it would not harm you to at least try for 15 to 20 minutes a day posting on groups.

I believe there's a proper or better way of posting on groups, you just have to uncover it.

It's not a complete waste of time.

It may be a waste of time, but not "complete waste" of time.

Just like what Kyle said in his recent SWAG post, it should not be your primary strategy, but rather a "filler" to fill some idle moments.

My final thoughts on this is...

Don't quickly say, "Oh it won't work" based on your impression of that thing. Because, remember, you're not marketing to yourself. You should be marketing to people who know less than you.

When you're doing a "make money online" niche, position yourself as a stronger magnet and begin attracting weaker magnets. The market for a strong magnet is the weaker magnets. That's how we attract in this "attraction marketing" world.

Okay, the groups are filled with marketers that are either spammy and scammy. But this is the exact reason why they need us there, to educate them of the better way, thereby attracting them to us, and to WA.

Do you agree, we are the stronger magnets? Stronger than them? That we ought to attract them to our side?

What do you think of this?

Agree. Facebook works in different degree for every individual.

Interesting point of view Gomer! Stronger magnet, I like that!

One thing I don't like about some of those groups are all the rules! They think they own the world and then some by all the rules one has to follow just to post a simple link to their group. I just gave up on a lot of them.

I found a few that are more "open" and posted there a few times but didn't get that much results, a few likes that's about it.

I'm probably in the wrong groups :) There are so many to chose from!

I first didn't like posting on Facebook groups for the same reason you've mentioned. Then, I found a way around it by starting my own groups and rule like a king in that group.

Yes, it's true I got my 4rth referral in FB groups, hopefully, his willing to dig more gold here in WA by joining the premium

I agree with you coach sometimes we need to lower our sense of taste, we need money and money are there but a little bit patient on them because we cannot impress everyone!

I am just on a Coach Ride to kuala Lumpur talking to an Italian couple who have a website business and making a killing from NoseBook, sorry I mean Facebook!

They are living the dream!

I posted in a lot of fb groups and all I got for my effort was spam, not even one referral. Those people only want easy money, they don't want to work hard. That's why they are spammers and scammers.

I personally know a few fb owners that are killing it on FB Groups. I need to get in on that!

A different and interesting view. Definitely something to consider.

I look at this as I begin my fb journey. :)

Interesting you say that I posted in a few groups earlier today, we’ll see how it goes.
