My social media icons appeared on top of my page but not on my post. What shd I do to have it on top of my post too?

My website : moneymakepower.com

Thanks.

You need to check your settings for your social media plugin.

Go into your WP dashboard for that website, on the left hand side, review each option to select the option associated with your social media plugin.

In there, you should be able to specify where to add social media icons. And at the bottom of that page, make sure to click on the "apply updates" type of button, otherwise your changes will not take.

Went to dashboard - plugins but there's no settings button for this plugin - Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share

I used the same theme and same plugin for my other website mygohealthy.com and it reflects the social media button on top of my pages and posts.

Not sure what I had actually missed.

Thanks for your response.

It is there, I used to use that plugin. I am in a rush right now. I will re-install that plugin and tell you the options. I will get back to you later.

Hi David thanks for your response. Found the settings button. I think its there already.:)

As promised earlier.

Image 1 shows how to get to the option in your WP dashboard.

Image 2 shows once in that option, page down a bit, then specify where the social icons are to be displayed. If you make any changes, remember to click on the button (displayed in image 2 on the bottom right hand side.

Let us know how you get on.

Great help David. Finally it appeared. Thanks so much. :))

What theme and social plugins do you use.If your homepage has 2 or 3 short paragraphs of all your post it doesn't have the social buttons.

If you click on your post then you should the option to put social buttons on top and button.

I used Smartline theme and this plugin - Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share
No issues for my other website mygohealthy.com
Maybe I've missed something...but there's no setting button for me to check.
Thanks for your response.

I upload the theme in my test site and you can put social icons above and below your post.

If you go in your dashboard-settings-Like tweet-plusone and click on that you will see at the bottom of the page where you can select where you want your social icons to be.

I hope this helps.

Elwin :)

Thanks for your help Elwin...manage to get it done. Appreciate :))

Perhaps this can level the SM appearance!

What should I do? I'm not a techie person :((

I personally do not see any other place of social icons then on both posts and pages. Not on the main page.

I actually see two social plugins there.

Steven

Yes there's 2 plugins..both appeared on top and bottom for my pages. For my post it appeared only at the bottom. How can I have it on top of post.
You mentioned not on the main page..isn't post appeared on the main page?
Sorry if I sound so stupid..I'm not clever on technical things :(

I meant to say I saw it on posts and on pages. This is usually configurable within the plugin's own settings pages.

I have also AddThis plugin and there is a setting to make it appear on either both top and bottom, only top or only bottom and there is even an option to make it a floating + icon on the left side of the page.

I also have the AddThis plugin showing icons of who people can follow me on (linking my facebook and twitter profile etc).

Dear mygohealth

DELETE it. Ecause it is SPAM and anything like this block ok

Ok will do. Thanks Paul :)

I subscribe -FREE to several experts sending me updated information/articles on what and how to on online marketing. Such as: Inbound.org Daily Digest. Hubspots. Mirasee, Jonathan-The Social Ms,, Georgiana from Unbounce. Daniel Tan (SEOPressor), Elegant Themes etc. I like Jonathan@trafficcaffe.com--- more geared to Internet marketers like us. Lots of brilliant ideas they share.

Thanks Coney :)

it is spam I have gotten this same email and it is spam delete delete delete all the best Max

Thanks David :)

I can't tell you about who this is, but I can tell you that HTML5 is the best.

I joined with others to say it's a spam. Pretending to be a SEO guru and Trying to sell you a crap products.

Thanks Pio. I really appreciate your response :)

I would just dump the email as it seems to be just the usual emails from people who wish to charge you for a service. These emails arrive in m inbox on a regular basis. I feel that I can learn all there is to learn re SEO etc here and I don't need to hire someone who "claims" to be an expert to do it for me.

ooo ok. This might be the first of many to come, may be :(
Thanks Victoria :)

Possibly!! Just as long as always remain alert and never agree to paying out for a service without doing research first.
All the best
Victoria

Very true. These scammers know how to hit the heart. Fortunate to be in this WA community with strong backups. :)

I would ignore it. Don't pay too much attention to it. Sounds like a scam to me. As long as you are following the training here, you are doing the right things. Alanna

Thanks for the assurance Alanna. Appreciate :)

I also says your website is not mobile friendly and it is mobile friendly.so he sure don't know what he is talking about. :)

HTML4 or lower, is not nearly as mobile friendly as HTML5.

You're right, it's mobile friendly. Thanks Elwin.

The difference is. With HTML 4, on a mobile device it will change the formatt of your site to fit the phone. You could say this is mobile friendly, and in a way it is. With HTML5, your site looks exactly the same on a mobile phone. Just like desktop. Now that's mobile friendly, and yes google likes this.

Of I was considering switching to a paid HTML 5 theme, I would do some research first to make sure it would work well with WA hosting.

Thanks for the explanation Geoff. Most of the themes are below HTML5 is it?

I think so. I haven't looked. Just working on my site and learning.

Ignore this, it is someone who wants you to pay him for SEO
You do not need this, I get them often, especially when I register
a new domain.

I got stunned for a while. Thanks for your response Ken :)

My pleasure Norleila.

It's spam. Someone wanting to sell you unnecessary services.

Thanks Steve. Now I can sleep in peace :)

Hi John,

The 'Natural Sleeping Aid' is in paragraph as in the edit post page but the website turned out weirdly.
Anyway that stupid protection plugin that caused all these problems.
I've deleted the plugin and everything seems back to normal.

Thanks for your insights and response.

~Norleila

Good to see that it's ok now. You may want to set your blogroll to only show the Featured image and a short excerpt. If you need help how to, let me know and I send you instructions

Thanks John, Looking forward. :)

I would open another ticket with the help desk. At the least, they may be able to restore your site from the last backup or tell you how. As for the visual editor, the trouble is usually caused by a plugin. I do not recall the usual suspects, but try to remember what new plugin you might have added just prior to your trouble. Wish I could be of more help, but hang in there! ~Gina

Thanks Gina for your prompt response. Looks like I have to put in another ticket. By the way the visual editor is okay now after I cleared my browse.
Thanks again. I really appreciate your suggestions. :)

Your site looks fine from my computer. I hope it is all fixed for you. Very nice site!

Jovo (jvranjes below) mentioned making excerpts in your blog roll by adding 'read more' after the 1st paragraph.

Here is an image of where to find it:

You are right most of my posts looked fine but actually the linked image is not shown.
Anyway, my website is now okay after I deleted the stupid content protection plugin.
Thanks for your 'read more' help, I will look into it.

Thanks for your contribution Doug and Debbie. Looking forward to working out something. :)

As others have stated here, I would exchange mail and see if you could help one another....An example might be a guest post on her site in exchange for her doing one on yours...The link will not hurt you, it is a natural one that seems to be genuine ....Best of luck! Dave : )

Hey Dave, thanks for your suggestions. Will look into it and hope things could work out well. :)

It would be nice to share links with others that have the same niche. I followed her link. She has some good info but no where on her site does it say anything about her personally. I looked at one page that MIGHT be a photo of her but it doesn't say. I'd ask her for more information about her site and herself. Ask her some questions. We're all paranoid about spam these days but there are some good people out there that really want to collaborate. It would be wonderful if she was one of those. After you ask her questions, I bet you'll get a feel for which camp she falls in.

BTW, nice to see you again and I'm still sitting down to eat. LOL

Hey Debbi, feel glad to be in touch again and thank you for your kind advice. Looks like I have to do some detective's work, LOL.
Anyway please keep sitting down when you eat or drink. :)

hi Norleila This could be a great networking for you I went to the site http://www.superfoodliving.com/where-is-your-liver-and-what-does-it-do-liver-101 and it seemes to be on the up and up. I hope that you will have great success

Thanks for your insights Sherril. Hope to work out something. :)

Tell us why you think it's a spam email. We may be missing something.
I agree with many here that it's ok to link with this particular site.

I am going by one of the lessons that Kyle gave stating that most of the time if there is a link to another site it could be spam. I had one on my site that was spam!
I could be wrong and as the others state below you may want to exchange emails and get more information from her! It could be a good thing if she is willing to exchange with you!

That advice from Kyle refers to links that are unrelated to your niche (and that's *generally* the case). They're usually sent by automated programs and have no personalization in them,. This email, though, appears to be from a genuine person who has a closely related niche.

True Kav, we might be missing something but I hope to work out something. Thanks. :)

I understand there's so many spam emails around but this one sounds a bit genuine. Will find out about it. Thanks Sheila.

Thanks for the clarification Bob. Appreciate so much. :)

Can you not link to each other's site

Sherrie

Well Sherrie, will try to work that out. Thanks. :)

This one looks as if it belongs to a WA member also.

Not too sure about that Tommy. Hope to workout something. :)

You an tell on his menu he still has the title getting started still.

Looks like someone wants to share his/her articles on your website (read collaboration), which is usually a good way to cooperate if you like the other's articles/website
Think about asking for something in exchange of course!

Hi Matteo, thanks for that tinkle. Will keep it in mind. :)

Hi friends,

Do you think It's okay I incorporated my latest post into my site.

Good article. Left you a comment. Whole health is a good way to present the benefits of WA.

Thanks for your views and comment, Doug. Left you a comment too. :)

I don't see anything wrong with having this post on your site. What I would recommend, though, is having someone help you proof read. It's a great post, but there are a number of mistakes in the English. I'm sure English is not your first language, and you do remarkably well with it. But it's a shame that such a good article is hurt by these mistakes .

Hi Tim, thank you for your feedback and insights. Will look into your suggestions. Anyway you are always welcome to highlight the mistakes made. Thanks again. :)

I think it fits well, Norleila. It makes perfect sense.

Hi Dave, thanks for your feedback. Appreciate your response. :)

It's a good post and I don't see how it can possibly hurt your site..

Appreciate your insight Werner. Thank you for your response. :)

I enjoyed how you tied physical health with financial health. There is truly a connection.

Thanks for your insight Dave. Really appreciate it. :)

Left you a comment, you mean you have a site on body health and have written a post about financial health? I have a site about kids art, and a page about lets talk business on it, greetings Loes

That's right Loes. I think it's okay but I'm just seeing if there's any other views. Thanks for your comment. I left you a comment too.

I left you a comment. Your site looks nice!

Thanks for your comment, Ron. Visited your site and left you a comment too. :)

If women didn't exist, all the money in the world would have no meaning. :)

P.S. I left you a comment...

The problem is, there're too many women and very little money. :)
Thanks for your comment, Joze. Appreciate!

hi Norleila. I love your site and I left you a comment. I like the article and I don't think it will effect your site negatively as you have liked it to health too. Good luck and well done. It's very professional. Olive

Thanks for your insight and comment Olive. I visited your site. It's great. Very interesting topics. Left you a comment too. :)

Ah thanks so much. It's great to get help and advice here.

I did see somewhere that anything posted on this (WA) site (i.e. your blogs etc) is now the property of WA! Not sure how it effects putting your own post that was on WA, now onto your own site. Maybe you have to ask Kyle/Carson for permission? (This is one reason I've not been too enthusiastic in putting up posts here.) Be nice to sort this out. Anyone else know of this issue?

Hi Shawn, sorry I didn't make myself clear. I was referring to my latest post which I wrote on financial wellness. My niche is health. My overview is total wellness. Thanks for your response.

Sorry I see now. Not sure how it effects the search engines etc as not quite in line with what your site is covering. Maybe someone else has more insight on this. Good luck!
