The records of internet designers is simply the history of the web and how it came to be, From the moment the net began being conceived, there has been someone who needed to spend time designing the authentic website
Celebrated since 1995, International Design Day stems from a concept developed by Kim Paulsen (Vice President 1993-1995) to commemorate the founding of the Council on 27 April 1963. Until 2020, this event was celebrated as World Design Day.
Ultimately, within the fullness of time, we developed a couple of internet browsers and dozens of video and audio protocols. Chatrooms got here up and YouTube have become a thing, and all of these had been built by using a quiet navy of people who were given to sit down lower back and watch us enjoy the culmination in their labors. But, it’s rare that we ever even understand their names.
We know Mark Zuckerberg designed Facebook, but now there’s an army of faceless developers that keep our favorite social media service running.
Web Designers don’t just make the pretty parts either, all the little bits and pieces that keep a site running in the background are developed by someone somewhere, and often with different specialties. So don’t let Web Designer Day go by without thanking a web designer for his efforts.
The theme of International Design Day 2021 is ‘Design for Each and All’. The collective human family is made up of many different, intersecting types of people. How ‘each and all’ humans encounter the designed world depends on varying degrees of equitable access to certain material realities, spaces, and experiences.
