A Few Updates
Good morning WA. Been silent for the last week or so, but I've been here working and doing my thing. I can't help but marvel at everyone here. I've been reading so many success stories and motivational stories. This truly is a wonderful community.
As you may be aware, I recently began a re-write of a book I wrote many years ago but never published. Work on that project is going on slowly, but making progress.
A couple of days ago, I read a blog from ParthaB about 30 day challenges. It was a very good article and worth reading if you haven't done so already. You can find it here:

I commented on his post and got involved in a short back and forth between Partha, Jeff (JeffreyBrown) and myself. We were talking about challenges, and Partha kind of snuck in a challenge to me which I readily accepted.
The challenge. I started work on a second book recently and am making progress. I mentioned this in that back and forth with Partha and Jeff. Partha mentioned my 30 challenge could be to complete 2 chapters in 30 days. Challenge accepted.
I'm working towards that goal of 2 chapters in 30 days, the 30-day challenge ends on August 17. To date, Chapter one is almost complete and working an outline for chapter two. I like outlines.
Every year, Wifey and I take a trip over the hill to visit her mother who lives across the bay from San Francisco. With this virus, we have been reluctant to go, but we decided virus or no, family is too important. We leave Thursday for a few days. The cover picture is the harbor in her little town. Rest assured that we'll take necessary precautions. Even though I'll be away, I'll have my laptop with me and will be in touch as I can.
Next month, I'll be going to my visit parents, its been too long. Wifey won't be with me as it would stress my dad too much. His battle with Alzheimers is affecting his memory so badly. He knows mom of course, and my sister and I, and that's about it. The stress comes from being around people he doesn't remember, and he gets a little aggravated in that situation.

I'm glad you're taking a bit of time out for family. I'm sure it will be truly wonderful, and as you say due to current circumstances it feels like it's been too long.
I can't wait for the update on the 17th August, and then I'm sure you can set yourself a few new challenges for the following 30 days.

I am sorry to learn about your father's Alzheimers. It is very tough having a loved one fade away in front of you. My grandfather has Alzheimers as well, and I really understand how upset/agitated they can become. Enjoy your time with your father and your siblings as much as you can.

Sorry to hear about your Grandfather. There is a huge learning curve with this. There are some very good support groups to help cope with the daily stresses. Thanks for dropping in Majo, I appreciate it.
