About Globaljohn23
Joined April 2016
Single dad to a wonderful 19 yr old autistic daughter, who, for reasons I may explain later, is called "Munch". 15+ yrs of professional sales experience, mainly in media (print/TV/Radio) now transitioning to online marketing out of medical necessity. Former volunteer Firefighter/EMT, and avid SCUBA diver, ideally in proximity to a school of sharks (never claimed to be overly intelligent!). Huge sports fan here in NC, mainly college sports, although I do pull for my hometown team, the woebegone Miami Dolphins. Eager to get cranking with WA. Read many reviews of WA before diving in, and all were very positive. And I can see why, even after only 30 minutes and one video. Feel free to hit me up for conversation on any of the topics above, or anything that's on your mind!

Hi John it seems like you are a real go-getter. I am sure you will succeed in this as you have in the many other things in your life.

Your goals are totally realistic and when you achieve the first one, it will be just a matter of scaling to reach the second one. The Internet works wonderful when you have your formula for success down which you are going to be getting from the training here at WA.

Once you get this formula down the sky is truly the limit John! I look forward to working with you and seeing you make your goals a reality. :)

Awesome goals, go for them ! And never be scared to ask questions, for there's always going to be someone to answer them or someone who will be glad that you ask (because they were stuck as well). All the best to you! Cheers =)

Thanks. Daunting task on occasion, since as "normal" as she is, she still has her moments when the autism thing interferes. But she is a good kid overall. And I occasionally even get a free Junior Frosty, since she works at Wendy's. So it's all good.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Can you share that here or drop me a PM? That is the best way of getting in touch with me as a Premium member (versus email). Thank John. Be happy to help you out here.

Whenever you can. Appreciate the assistance.

Bought "waxingautism.com" domain. Surprised someone smarter than I am had not bought that up. But I'll take it.

Two way play on words, as in "waxing eloquent" on the topic of autism, or waxing, as in beating something badly: "My favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins, gets waxed with alarming regularity." Sad, but true there. It's been 30 long years since they were consistently good.

Gives folks a sense of the slightly irreverent approach I'll take.

Also, from what I have researched, best blogs usually have only two, or at most, three words in the title.

TONS of autism bloggers out there, but few, if any, on the employment aspect of it. I want to use mine to effect meaningful change, and help employers see the immense value in hiring the right sort of high-functioning autistics like my daughter. And plan on involving her as well with podcasts/Snapchat/Youtube once I get that far down the road.

Autistics take ridiculous pride in their work, they'll work for minimum wage and appreciate it, and they don't pull disappearing acts and call out because they are hungover, high on drugs, or just don't feel like working, as many who otherwise fill these lower-end jobs do.

Thanks again!

I love your concept here and direction John. I think it is unique, but has an incredible sized market. I like your domain choice as well, I knew what you were referring to right away when you stated "waxing" and I think others will appreciate that as well upon seeing your domain name.

If you do need a hand with anything as you do move forward with the build out process of your website, do let me know. :)

Thanks. Idea part is easy. Execution will require the work, so time to roll up my sleeves. What's the next step for me? On Lesson 5, Course 1 so far. Started with Site Rubix, but that may get deleted anyway, since I have my own domains.

As you said, market is significant. I actually think the higher functioning autistics could build their own sites and sell products or services with the simple process here, since anything repetitive is what they do well.

Only better thing than giving them a job would be putting them in business for themselves, which they could do from a computer, without needing that face to face interaction which many of them are not good at.

My daughter, for as much as she talks, still on occasion prefers a text or email, especially if it is a thorny subject matter.

Take a look at this: itsvicky.com. Connected with her socially. Goal is to have my blog looking something like that. How far down the highway is that? 1 mile? 100 miles?

It's totally viable, you work at your website to get to this point. It doesn't start overnight, but a year from now you can have a fully functional, growing, and very successful website that is in a position of scaling to much bigger things.

Once you have your foundation in place, the sky is the limit and having a website with a decent base of content can happen in just the first couple of months John. :)

I'm Leland (you can also call me Lee), I'll be here to help you along, so if you ever have any questions or need help, just let me know.

As Kyle probably mentioned, your first step would be to check out the "Online Entrepreneur Certification" course found under the green "Get Started Here" button in the upper left corner. The course includes 10 written lessons, usually a short video for each one and a few very simple tasks to complete daily at the end of each lesson. This will get you started by taking action to begin building your site(s) out.

Cool. This isn't as hard as grabbing the 1 3/4 line and going for an interior attack. And it damned sure isn't as hard as packing the hose afterwards. Eager to get to the point where I can start with the affiliate programs. Do they base those things on traffic?
